I purchased this on September 15 and it's not even the end of the month and I have a tear in the netting. When it arrived, I was a little skeptical because it was pretty lightweight, but I didn't need it for any heavy lifting, just scooping out an occasional grasshopper or two from my horses water trough. I don't even use it every day. I thought for $6.99. Why not give it a shot and see because there were definitely enough positive reviews on this product. I should have paid a few dollars more . It is so lightweight it almost feels like a kids toy. The lightweight part didn't bother me because all I'm doing is scooping out a few bugs but it's already falling apart so I will have to unfortunately not recommend purchasing this item.

Theis skimmer is great for the price. My one big gripe is that whenever you lift the skimmer out of the pool, the water quickly runs up the handle onto your hand thus running up your arm which drives me a little crazy. And it has to do with the handle coming in multiple small pieces to make it easier and less expensive for shipping. Other than that, it's been great.
