Got it on sale $99 ( isn't worth $149) , the anchor system is worthless but I turned it into a very sturdy pool toy ,went to local pool store picked up a set of 11/2" ladder anchors which I anchored with Tapcons then I installed 1 1/2" schedule 40 PVC into existing holes in back of backboard with Stainless bolts lastly buy a heavier smaller rubber ball ,I realize that not everyone has access to a good hammer drill there are a couple of really good ideas out their which would work to an extent but if your expecting it to stay in place by itself your going to be disappointed

This is the 2nd Poolmaster Pro we have bought. The previous one was damaged in a storm and knocked into the pool. The back board got cracked a little on the top edge & was not sturdy. The 1st Pro Rebounder lasted about 5 years & always provided great fun for the whole family. Lasted longer than expected weathering Hurricane Harvey & numerous fierce Texas summertime thunderstorms. Highly recommend.

I've had this by the pool for 2.5 years now and it has survived game after game of "lighting" with my now 15 year old son and his friends. It has also survived 2.5 years in southern California sun. Yesterday the rim was snapped off the backboard during a Slam dunk contest (the design clearly does not support dunking) so I'm not surprised that the rim broke off.I contacted Pool Master directly and they are able to ship me out a replacement rim (for a small fee) so we'll be up and running again in a week. I'm really happy with the stability and portability of the hoop as well as support from Pool Master in helping me with a fix.Finally I really like how easy it is to separate the backboard part from the weighted base, this makes it easy to hide the backboard and hoop away when I want the pool area to look a little more adult.

I liked the construction of the net. I was disappointed with the height of the net from the pool deck. The height provided ma be useful for small children but not for older children. I had to manufacture longer legs with PVC to make the net useable for my grandsons. The leg extensions make the net 40 inches from the pool deck to the bottom of the back board.

For the price this is a well made, easy to assemble, great product. My son (44 years old) and I have had hours of fun. We have no problem with the ball that comes with the set. Everyone said it was trash so I ordered the one everyone was talking about. It is more like a real basketball and in our opinion too heavy for this poolside backboard. This is poolside basketball. I would recommend this set to anyone with a pool. It’s was missing one bolt but I had one in my shop.

Easy to assemble, in under 5 minutes. Seems sturdy, although I am on my way to fill it with water in the base. There was something rattling around in the base when I took it out of the box. There was a small coin-sized piece of plastic that, initially, I thought was the cap, but turns out it is just the piece that was drilled out to make the filling hole in the base. The cap was separate.There was a missing bolt (one that was supposed to be pre-threaded into one of the support poles). The attached picture shows the label that says you need to remove it and save it to attach the backboard. But there was no bolt. Easy enough to find at store, but did require a trip out to the store.

My 12 year old son and myself out this together while dad was at work. My only complaint is not all bolts & nuts were included. Had to get 2 extra, thankfully they are standard and inexpensive. We just got it set up this weekend, so only 2/3 days of use. The ball it comes with is crap, luckily we read the other reviews and ordered the backup ball, when we order this set. The Dunnrite water basketball is the best, it feels like a real ball but made for water. You can’t beat the price of this pool basketball hoop, def does the trick for kids, not sure how well it will hold up... fingers crossed a year or more!!!! I’ll update if any defaults occur!

placed order May 11, 2017 and the rim just finally broke on April 11, 2019. I'd say it held up well given we played on it all the time. We did not allow our kids or anyone else for that matter "dunk" on the hoop because we wanted it to last as long as possible. At some point one side of the rim did pull off, but we were able to duct tape it back to last quite a bit longer. I am purchasing the same product again and will hopefully have it last as long as the first one did.

So far so good! Put it together in 15 minutes. Set it up and kids have been playing with it for the past hour and a half. They love it. Got a heavier basketball for the pool and it works better then the one it came with. I read the reviews and ordered a splash basketball at the same time. Works great. Hoping this will last at least the whole summer!Update- 4 years later in the direct AZ sunlight all year long and it’s held up! Only thing we’ve had to replace is the basketballs once a year. We’ll worth the price for how long it’s lasted. Buying another one for a friends son for his birthday!
