L1 and L2 Comparassion
Our L1 prints at 200DPI and a Max Width of 1.9", this makes it excellent if your main goal is to print notes and stickers! If, in the other hand, you would like to use your printer for photos, the L2 is what you're looking for! It prints at 300DPI and has a 2.1" Max Width. Please note that, given that our printers use temperature to print and not ink, they cannot print in color.

We have an Insta for small color photos but we needed something that would be fast and cheap to make reference pictures for documenting design patterns. We opted to get the Pooliprint L2 since it seemed to have better resolution. We don't have a cheaper machine to compare it to but the prints from this machine are great. Not 'great' in a beautiful photographic sense but good enough to see what is going on with design and make fast inexpensive prints.We couldn't be happier with it.

I love this little printer. I can print my picture from vacations or anything else. It doesn’t require ink cartridges. You just gotta make sure you have the paper for it, which are pretty cheap and comes in a bundle.

Pros: ease of use, compact and cheaper to print that say, Canon IVY or HP Sprocket (color images tho.) The site said the thermal print will be okay if not left in sun or in heat, last up to 10 yrs. Itʻs thermal so you can’t expect it to be this inexpensive and last like a photo.Cons: because itʻs so small, I can’t read the “fine print”. Still experimenting, so hopefully will get better images from it. Like the sticker paper but the non sticker paper seemed to take the glue stick without bleeding through. Itʻs only been about a week, but the image still looks okayOverall: images better than the miniprinter, but it did have higher price point. I keep notes of the big craft stuff andI can easily print up some internet hints etc(with large fonts etc) to add to the notes.

This little printer was a great price, is super easy to use, and at first I was very happy with the product. However, over time the images fade. I created a travel journal with pictures using my Poooli printer. Fast forward a year and almost all of my pictures have faded so much that I can’t make out the images. Too late to return. So disappointing!

I think it’s a fun little tool. My first project was taking pictures of my toys and organized the toy shelves by printing pictures for the outside of the plastic storage bins. Pictures are pretty clear. Can’t wait for my next project.
