The lock sticks and the handle requires pulling all the way up to open. BUT, technically it works.

Please take your time when installing. What starts off as being something simple can change if you rush throguh the install. Read the instructions completely. Had mine in about 30 minutes.Bill H from Virginia

i was so excited to get this in to be able to lock my truck bed when i had valuables in the back. it installed fairly easily and the OEM was was pretty easy to remove. it appeared everything was kosher and functioning fine, just a little hiccup with opening but i was able to work around it. it wasn't til the second time that it got jammed in the up position that i got fed up with it and in my endeavor to return it to its original state that it broke and it utterly useless now. if i could return it, i would in a heartbeat. don't waste your time or money on this substandard designed hardware, find it somewhere else that's better quality.

Install was easy. Instructions were well written and easy to follow. Latch and lock worked well once installed.I wasnt overwhelmed with the overall quality. The plastic bezel really never snapped into place and doesn't sit flush with the tailgate. I had to basically re-tap the bolt holes as the bolts were very difficult to thread. I'm also not crazy about having the new silver topped bolt on the inside of the tailgate. But it does lock pretty well and releases the tailgate just as the original.

Simple to install. Works great with your vehicle key, so no extra keys to carry around. I tried a different lock on here that did not use the vehicle key and returned it, would not work. This lock works awesome. Thanks!

Product was ok...functions great but had to use some parts salvaged from my old one as the plastic wasn't formed quite right.

Easy to install. Instructions were right on. It looks like original equipment and adds a little security to anything that is kept in the box.
