I use this for weighing out coffee beans. Its a bit of an awkward shape for coffee, but I can get 18g in there for weighing and dumping into the grinder. Not sure it would be useful for weighing out much more than 20g.

I bought this to use for weighing out my coffee for my single-dose coffee grinder. The spout is perfect for adding beans to the grinder.

Perfect tray for dosing coffee beans, the spout side helps for easy pouring into grinder of single dose containers. Big enough for up to 60g or coffee beans, maybe a little more.

This is certainly well-priced, and the manufactured quality is in all ways fit for purpose: the glazing is good, and the finishing of the slip-cast piece is free of any faults. However, I do wish that the slope of the “nose” section had been molded to be less steep, and without the raised ridge that marks the edge. As it is, when I’m filling a small Yixing pot, it’s easy for dry leaves and fragments to “jump” at the little ridge at the edge, and to end up on the tea tray instead of into the pot. A flatter exit slope at the nose section of what is basically a flat funnel would allow the tea to be poured nicely into the pot without the escape of some of the dried tea leaves. So it’s not quite perfect, then. Given the limited number of alternative choices in the US where I live, I will give this my recommendation. It’s one of the very simple tools that makes the flow of a gung-fu cha preparation more graceful.
