I purchased this pedal unit after two Yamaha pedal units broke within a year each. I figured I would try a different brand for my DGX670 piano. This WikrOck unit only lasted two months. Oddly, the parts that broke are different between the Yamaha unit and this unit. The Yamaha unit's sustain switch broke on the two units I had purchased, each within a year, which caused the piano to have a mind of its own with total sustain all the time or no sustain when you need it. Overall, though, the broken Yamaha units made everything muddy. On this unit, some plastic part that keeps the pedal from moving side-to-side broke. With this part broken, the sustain pedal moves freely in the side-to-side axis as well as the normal up-and-down. The plastic part that broke is tiny... it was rattling around inside the casing when I shook the pedal unit. The unit still works but the sustain pedal moves back and forth, side-to-side which is quite annoying. The plus of this pedal unit is it looks great compared to the Yamaha pedal unit. Unfortunately, it is broken after two months. So, I gave it two stars for its looks as well as one star for each month it worked.EDIT: I took this broken pedal unit apart to see if it can be repaired... There are two plastic molded-in pins, one on each side of each pedal, to act as the hinge for the pedal. One of these pins broke off the sustain pedal and now the pin on the opposite side is cracked. I'm going to attempt to cut out all the molded-in plastic pins holding the three pedals and then install one brass rod across all the pedals to act as the new hinge. I figure the brass rod should be far more secure than these molded-in plastic pins.I contemplated just ordering a new pedal unit but, after seeing what broke, I'm confident that the same would happen on the new unit too. For now, I'll attempt a repair. If the repair doesn't work, I'll have to resort to purchasing a yet another brand of pedal unit.
