This doesn't do a great job cooling. The fan is fine for a fan. The oscillation works. The "fogger," as it's referred to in the manual, just kind of sprays water at you that seems to be a little heavier than a proper mist. It has more of a cooling effect than nothing at all, but it isn't much.I chose this for my home office which gets warmer than the rest of the house when I have both of my computers running. Unfortunately, the listing doesn't make it clear that this just sprays water at you. Humidifying a room full of electronics and even potentially spraying them directly is not ideal, even though the listing touts that this fan is great for offices. There might be some situations where this is effective, but it wasn't of any use to me.

I recently had the opportunity to test the Ankipo Portable Air Conditioner, and it has been quite an interesting experience. The Ankipo Portable Air Conditioner is compact and lightweight, making it easy to move around from room to room or even to take on trips. The build quality feels sturdy, and the materials used seem durable enough to withstand regular use. It's a small swamp cooler like the ones we used to build from styrofoam coolers, a fan, and some ice in the military.Considering its size, the Ankipo Portable Air Conditioner provides a decent amount of cooling. It's best suited for small spaces such as a personal desk area, bedroom, or kitchen. The cooling effect is noticeable within minutes of turning it on, especially if you're in close proximity. It’s a perfect solution for spot cooling rather than trying to lower the temperature of an entire room. Right now, it sits on the wife's desk as the temperatures are perfect for testing as we are in the lower 90s at this time. The controls are intuitive and straightforward, with clearly labeled buttons for different settings. The water tank is easy to fill, and it has a good capacity to last for several hours before needing a refill. The unit also features adjustable vents, allowing you to direct the airflow as needed. Just needed a little bit more work to get the fogging action to work but it does make it cooler for the wife. The device operates quietly, which is a significant advantage if you’re using it in a bedroom or workspace where minimal noise is preferred. The gentle hum is barely noticeable and can even be considered soothing white noise. This air cooler also includes a night light function, adding a soft glow that can serve as a nightlight in a bedroom. The LED light is subtle and not too bright, making it a nice touch for nighttime use. The device also has a built-in humidifier feature, which adds a bit of moisture to the air, enhancing the cooling effect and providing a more comfortable environment.Given its small size and targeted cooling approach, it is quite energy-efficient. It doesn’t consume much electricity, making it an eco-friendly and cost-effective option for personal cooling needs. For the price, the Ankipo Portable Air Conditioner offers excellent value. It’s an ideal solution for individuals looking for a portable and efficient way to stay cool during the hot months. While it’s not a substitute for a full-sized air conditioner in larger spaces, it excels in providing personal comfort and convenience. The product is a well-designed, efficient, and user-friendly mini electric air cooler. It’s perfect for small spaces and offers a good balance of cooling performance, ease of use, and energy efficiency. If you need a personal cooling device that’s both effective and affordable, the device is worth considering instead of a swamp cooler.

Works ok inside in a controlled environment, but even with ice cubes, ice cold water, etc, the air is still just... hot.The fogger is not enough and the output is comparable to a 120mm PC fan.. lol.

This evaporative cooler, not portable AC is okay at its job. This is the second one I have ever gotten and that one worked well but eventually had some trouble and stopped working all together, so I have been reluctant to get another one since. This one is decent to a degree. Its slightly bigger than the one I had previously but its still a small size. This is best to keep on a desk or on a side table. The unit itself is nice, as the water tank is in front and is easily accessible. The water tank itself is smaller size at 320 mL but on the front of the tank you can see the water level, so you know when to refill it. As mentioned, this is meant to cool a person not a room and it does that to a degree. I recommend keeping ice in the unit as it helps a little more. Overall, its okay at what it does, it does cool down to a degree but not as much as I would hope, the tank size being small means constant refilling.

This is more of a fan with a small humidifier in it. It doesn't really cool the air down more than any other fan it's size would. It seems to act just like a small essential oil humidifier would but with a fan.... I cant really recommend this over something like an Artic Air that actually uses evaporative cooling to make the air feel nice and chilly.

I really like this portable desk air conditioner. I live in an old building without central air so it is nice to have a small portable unit that I can move from room to room. This mini-unit has 3 speeds, it oscillates and produces some good air.

I'm middle of the road on this. I have a tower fan in my room and I normally have it constantly running to keep my room cool. However, during the days now, it still gets warm in the house so I got this to see if it would help, being closer to me. First, just getting the water receptacle open was a pain--I thought I was going to break it trying to get it open. Eventually, I did and it's smaller than I expected. I left it running for almost an entire day and I had to look over to make sure that it was still on several times because it wasn't doing much for me. This was without running it as a humidifier as well, which is an option. My daughter asked if she could try it in her room which is usually warm and it's been working better for her but only with the humidifier running. It does say it's not intended to cool a room but rather the individual but it wasn't doing that for me either and it's too hard to use. My desktop and handheld fans both cool better than this.

It does not put out much cold air. It get the water compartment out, I had to use a small screwdriver and reach in and press down and then pull it out. A fan would accomplish as much as this unit does.
