"Converts to 6 feet" only with extra parts that aren't included. It's 5' high X 6' long fully assembled. It's reasonably thick and holds together alright. It doesn't seem to reduce the noise much though.

Decent quality overall and it works well. I am not a fan of how the steel hinges work, and I am going to opt for something more subtle or more decorative. I also only got the 3-panel version and definitely should've gotten the 5 for the space my kit takes up. Either way, it is a great price compared to literally every other drum shield on the market. It goes together easily, though I am currently custom building a drum cage, so this shield will likely be dismantled to fit that. Overall, it works well, is thick enough to minimize sound, and looks decent right out of the box.

This is a super nice drum cage. My husband has learning how to play the drums for a few months now so as soon as I saw this I had to get it for him to surprise him. It came very well packed and secured and everything was perfectly as described in the ad. Nothing was missing or damaged from delivery and there was no missing Hardware either. The instructions were clear and easy to read and very helpful for getting everything put together. I had a few of his closest buddies come over to put this together for me so we could all surprise him, and he was definitely surprised! This is going to work perfectly for his drum set and this is super durable very sturdy and very heavy duty. It stays firmly planted at the base once it's put together and it's nice and thick as well. Very high quality and definitely a great value for your money overall! This works perfectly as it should and clearly help amplify the sound. It makes a world of difference just to have this! The sound is so much different and even clearer and more crisp with this. Very impressed with the overall quality and craftsmanship as well as how well it's built. Very heavy duty very sturdy and definitely a solid 10 out of 10! Very high quality product and if you're thinking about it don't hesitate because it is just as nice as you would think. Checks all the boxes we needed it to and works perfectly for my husband just starting out. This might work perfect if you were on little worship teams at church or something too. Definitely a great value for your money

These drum shields handle sound as advertised and are nicely clear, easy to set up and disassemble. They're a bit high priced in my estimation, but not enough so to affect my rating. They also make for great splash guards for righteous venue attendees. I recommend.

I work with musicians on a weekly basis, but sometimes the instruments can be too loud for a small auditorium. That’s why, when I saw this set of plexiglass, I had to try it.The plexiglass comes in a large, flat box, carefully packed with a lot of styrofoam and edge pieces that keep it from getting scuffed in shipment. The three panels are in six pieces and come with plastic rivets, instructions, and a small microfiber cloth.Assembly shouldn’t be all that difficult, but it was for me. First, don’t make the mistake I did: remove the thin plastic coating off the plexiglass BEFORE you start working. Once it’s hooked together, it’s HORRIBLE trying to get the coating off. I pretty much had to disassemble and start assembling again. The plexiglass looks BEAUTIFUL. I’d give this set five stars because of it, BUT the small, plastic rivets are a definite problem. You can tap them in securely, but they’re made of a thin plastic and they just can’t support the heavy panels of plexiglass. You have to be SUPER careful that they don’t pop back out or snap apart as you transport the constructed panels. The manufacturer should have included small metal nuts and bolts instead—especially considering the price of this set. Because they’re so fragile, this is NOT a portable set at all. Anytime you start to move it, they break off. We’re getting metal fasteners. All in all, it looks great, but it’s not portable, and the fasteners must be replaced. Recommended for the panels alone, but realize you’ll need more pieces to finish the set.

I got the 3 panel shield which for the moment isn't showing as an option on this page. It was easy, though somewhat labor intensive, to assemble. It took some time and effort to peel off all the protective film. Then it took help from a friend to fasten the two panels together to fully form the shield. Once assembled, it is easy to deploy. Just fold it around the front of your drum set like an old-fashioned dressing screen.I got this to try and contain the volume of the drums as my neighbors had been complaining about the volume of my band practices. Since the drums don't have a volume knob, we had to try other methods to mitigate their sound. This shield actually worked pretty well, which is somewhat surprising. My roommate said we weren't as loud, which means we don't have to stop as early in the evening. So, success! The screen is made of clear acrylic. The drummer even said his drums had never sounded better. I guess the reverberations are good for his perspective as well.
