I gave this to my grandson for his third birthday. I’d seen another toddler playing with a similar game at a sports event; his mother praised the battery life, the hundreds of playable games, and the fact that no internet is needed. Her son and my grandson took turns playing and were entertained until the urge to share wore off!! That’s when I decided to order the game for my grandson. The game, similar to an early GameBoy, comes with over 600 games; however, my grandson only wanted to play the baseball game for the first two days, and he played for hours. An older child would likely have tested more games. This game is of good quality and is a great deal for the price.

If you're looking for a cheap way to game on the go with NES and Atari era games, this might be the handheld for you. When you turn on the device, you'll be presented with a language selection menu for Spanish, Chinese, English, and Russian. Choose a language and it will bring you to the games list in the language you choose, but it will not change the actual language in game. Many if not most of the games are in English, though some of them are in Japanese. This handheld holds in actuality around 200-300 games (it's hard to tell exactly with the number of repeats of games that are slightly modded but using a different name) but to make up the "666" number, it just literally duplicates the list. This handheld is not expandable so you're limited to the selection of games that are included. The ergonomics were fine and I had no discomfort after a short 15 minute gaming session. The controls worked surprisingly well and exhibited no rattle or looseness. I haven't tested all the games, but of the 30 or so that I've actually played, they had no problems running. The screen is fine straight on, but you'll experience changing colors and contrast at different angles. The speaker consists of a single speaker facing towards you and can get pretty loud, though I usually keep it close to the very minimum which is loud enough for a quiet room. The volume wheel is a little sticky and not easy if you want to be able to finely control the volume level but also not impossible. The battery compartment can be opened without screws, so it's easy to replace the batteries if needed. The battery can be charged by connecting the included micro-usb cable to a power adapter that you will need to provide, and the charging is indicated by a LED on the face of the device. A video out adapter is included that uses composite cables, which is not commonly built in on modern tvs, so you may need to use an appropriate adapter if you want to play this on an external display.

Got it for my grandson, but we often see his dad using it for the games he used to play. I was worried it would be junk because of the low price, but it's great.

Nice little game purchased three, one did have a faulty screen but seller fixed my issue.Makes a nice stocking stuffer. Description says it has 666 games, but it has many repeats. Games include Mario, Contra, Snow Bros, Bomberman, Chip 'n Dale, Aladdin and many others.Since my only encounter with classic/retro games was my cousin having a Game Boy back in early 2000's I don't know how accurate the speed and music of the game are, but in my opinion they do seem pretty accurate.Size it's about 3 inches, so if you have bigger hands this is something you may want to considered, you may have a bit of a harder time holding it. It charges via micro USB cable (included) and it also includes AV cables so you can hook it up to your TV.I didn't like not having a save option and with having anxiety how each time I lost or restarted the game it took me back to the settings language menu. I wish that was a one time thing. I did wish it included a how to play/game guide for those who might not be too familiar with the games. The circular Dpad? and buttons feel nice in the hand. The screen and viewing angles aren't the best quality but if you're looking straight forward it's pretty good, you can't really complain much for less than $20 at the time of my review. All in all, I think it's a nice little handheld to pass the time, it's small and compact enough to easily fit in a pocket. Also affordable enough that you wouldn't care too much about damaging or losing it. Great for leaving your more expensive handhelds at home, throwing in your bag, taking it along and playing where ever you may find appropriate.
