If you're in the hay business or just want to monitor your hay at home or farm then this is an excellent Low Cost tool for that. Now this is a pretty specialized tool that only has one function but it does that very well. You simply stab the prods into the hay and take a reading. The tips are incredibly sharp so it will go into the bale very easily. This also comes with a zippered pouch for storage. This us an excellent Hay Moisture Meter.

Easy to use and transportable with its battery powered design. Works great to keep an eye on your bails and know they arent molding or poasibly gonna make ur cows sick.

Has a nice case. Takes 4 AAA batteries that you don’t know about until you read the instructions. The size and quantity of batteries is not embossed on the battery door or inside the battery compartment.The instructions tell you how to operate the meter, but you have to know what all of the settings mean and the modes mean to make full use of this meter. Some additional info would have been welcome.

This hay moisture meter works extremely well and is definitely worth the money. We buy round bales for our horses and bales can get pretty expensive, especially when it hasn't rained for a while. This meter allows us to test those bales before purchase to make sure we get what we're paying for and prevent our horses from getting cholic off moldy bales. I highly recommend this moisture meter. It's a great value for the price!
