I LOVE this playpen!!!I have a "dog" cat who loves to ride in the car and has become my great little travel companion. I purchased this playpen to take along for him on our roadtrips and/or visiting family who have their own cats and dogs. It is large enough to include his cat bed, litterbox, toys, and food and water, and still plenty of room for him to stretch out comfortably. So far I have not had a problem with finding a spot in any room to set it up, even small rooms it fits fine. It is a great "safe place" for my cat when we are away from home and staying where there are other pets. It has actually allowed him to acclimate to new surroundings and to become acquainted with my family's resident household pets when we are doing weekly or extended holiday visits. This playpen is the perfect travel companion, as it opens & sets up in a minute, and folds up flat and slides into it's own zippered carrying bag, which takes up no room at all in the trunk of the car. The bottom zippers on & off and is made out of a durable waterproof material which can be hosed off easily. The top is half screen mesh like the side windows and half solid (like bottom) for shade outdoors, and zippers on/off easily. There are two door flaps which zipper open/closed and has velcro fasteners to roll up the door flap to leave open if desired. It also comes with anchors to fasten down in outdoor grassy areas. This would be a perfect playpen, travel pen for dog owners as well... when I have the door flap fastened open, my brother's 28" tall, 85 lb. Australian Shepherd decided he enjoys lounging inside of it (with or without my cat), and there really is plenty of room for him to be comfortable, although I'm all about space and comfort so I would probably get the next larger size up if I owned a dog of his size or larger. The ToysOpoly Indoor/Outdoor Pet Playpen is very well made. My advice is to keep the sheet of assembly picture instructions in the bag with it to remember how to fold it up properly. I needed it for the first couple of times. :-)

The minute you grab the carrying bag, you'll grin at your new purchase. It's just a taste of what's in store for you as you open what will be one of those all to rare cases of what you got MUCH MORE for your money than you expected.I didn't see any instructions, so was a little wary, but alas, nothing could be simpler.Take it out of the bag, release the elastic holding it closed and almost by itself, the panels poof out into a perfect octagon. The fabric is nice thickness and quality, as is the mesh screening. There are two zip open doors opposite one another. The circular (quadruple?) thick floor and a mesh roof can be zipped on, or you can use it just as a corral as is.The mesh roof is partially covered - I think the designers thought to ensure your pet had a shady retreat if the enclosure was left out in the sun, or in the rain, I suppose.I set it up as a corral in the house just to see what it was like. Within minutes, our cat was at the door wanting to get inside and check it out. I unzipped it and he entered like a middleweight entering the ring. I couldn't resist getting a cat toy - the fishing rod kind - to get him bounding around the "ring" like he was in a title fight. He certainly wasn't shy of the enclosure, and hung out in his new "fort" for a while. As mentioned the fabric is surprisingly thick. The mesh screening? There's no way your going to keep a clawing or biting pet from destroying anything of this nature. The frame is shaped and reinforced by some type if rod material sewn into the perimeter of each panel. This, and the rest of the well sewn and reinforced design, is what allows it to literally assemble itself.Disassembly is just as easy. With no instructions, I winged it. I didn't have to force anything, so I think I did it right. Remove the roof and floor.Grab two opposite corners and pull them together. The octagon collapses upon itself, and the you fold it in half, like a simple origami waiting for next time. Unlike every tent you ever bought, it will easily fit back in the carry/storage bag. There are two mesh (Velcro closure) pockets, one of which contains "hold down staked". This is the only area where the designers may have gotten it wrong. They are just thin eight inch metal rods. I don't think they would do anything except in just the right moist turf. Sand? The octagon would be a tumble weed at the beach. Hard ground? You'll need a hammer. If it's going to be windy, I suggest appropriate tent stakes to keep your pets in the same county.Time will tell how the material, mesh, zippers and stitching hold up. But at this price point, I can't think that I will be disappointed.Summary:- easy assembly and disassembly.- quality, well thought out design.- I bought a different (hoops) design several years ago. That one is flimsy by comparison, hard to use and I find it virtually impossible to figure out how to fold the loops so it collapses back into its bag. I'm sure I've never done it right. It cost almost twice as this. It will never be used again.- perfect as a quick pop-out corral if your animals aren't jumpers, it put n the floor and ceiling for a more secure environment.- I can see this being useful at home, at the beach, when staying at a hotel, neighbors, or the prime reason we bought ours - if we ever get caught in an emergency shelter. You will not be disappointed.

This is fabulous product. Well made, give your dog or in my case puppy lots of room with the safety of a secure zipper function on the door. The cover across the tops keeps any objects just as bugs or plant refuge from getting into your pen. I can't say enough good things about this product. My husband, an engineer, said this is perfect for anyone. Great design and the pouches on the outside are so handy for storing all your doggies needs. Folds up easily and fits into a case that is nice and flat easy for storage or for traveling. We are so glad we bought this after some of the other products we have purchased in the past. With ten dogs and cats it isn't surprising that one morning I walked outside to see one of our cats sitting in it getting a sun bath. He was actually not real happy when I removed him to put the puppy in. I think I need to buy another one. My husband mentioned the talk of impending earthquakes and said keep this by the door because if something happens we'll need it for the outdoors for cats and the smaller dogs. Think ahead for any emergency that could happen and do you have the equipment to contain your furry family? It works great indoors or outside. One of the best products I have ever bought on Amazon. Even more surprising was when they contacted me after my purchase to ensure I was satisfied. Now that's great customer service! Kudos to a small company who realizes the importance of connecting with their customers and the concern for their pets. They have my vote for best product.
