This mini range hood is perfect for small spaces, it comes w adjustable speed settings for different cooking styles. It's compact makes it great for my apartment, especially because my range hood is under the microwave and does not do much for me when I cook. I can't wait to take this camping in my RV as well. I also love the multi-layer filtration, it keeps the air clean while staying easy to use!

This unit is big. Of course it has to be in order to work as a hood for cooking. It has a two speed fan with an integrated led light. The light isn't very strong, but will illuminate a dark area. It has a grill screen filter with spares. There are multiple fan settings with the first suitable for making soups and stews, and the max setting for frying. It has a great design with a funnel that leads to an oil catch can. When done, just clean out the oil from the catch can. Noise levels are low, especially with the catch screen in place. This portable hood is highly functional, especially if you don't have a cooking hood. The only problem to encounter is if you do not have a power outlet nearby. If this had a rechargeable battery it would be 5 stars!

The "Portable Range Hood, Desktop Range Hood with 3 Speed Exhaust Fan, Low Noise & Large Oil Collection Cup, Detachable Aluminum Filter, Portable Kitchen Fan for Indoor BBQ, Rv-trip Cooking" presents itself as a versatile solution for portable kitchen ventilation. However, its performance, as experienced, leaves much to be desired, creating a sense of perplexing ambiguity. The promise of capturing steam and grease, crucial for indoor cooking environments like RVs or small apartments, is met with a frustrating lack of tangible results. While the three-speed exhaust fan operates, seemingly drawing in cooking vapors, the large oil collection cup remains stubbornly empty. This absence of visible accumulation raises serious questions about the device's actual effectiveness. Is it truly capturing the grease and steam, or merely recirculating it?The detachable aluminum filter, a key component for trapping grease particles, shows minimal buildup, suggesting that its filtering capabilities might be inadequate. Furthermore, the inclusion of a replacement filter creates a new dilemma: its presence seems to significantly restrict airflow, hindering the device's ability to effectively extract cooking fumes. Removing it, however, appears to negate the already questionable filtering process. The low-noise operation, a touted feature, becomes irrelevant when the core function of the device is in doubt. What good is a quiet range hood if it fails to effectively ventilate? The portable design, intended for convenience during RV trips or indoor barbecues, is undermined by its ambiguous performance. In essence, the "Portable Range Hood" exists in a frustrating state of limbo. It operates, but its effectiveness is elusive. The lack of visible grease collection and the filter's airflow issues create a sense of confusion and frustration. This product, while promising portability and convenience, fails to deliver a clear and demonstrable improvement in kitchen ventilation. It leaves the user questioning its actual utility, rendering it a potentially disappointing investment for those seeking reliable portable kitchen ventilation.

As someone who loves cooking both at home and while traveling, I was on the lookout for a portable range hood that could offer power and convenience without being bulky. The Portable Range Hood with a 3-speed exhaust fan has been a game-changer for both indoor BBQs and RV cooking trips.Design & Build: The sleek, compact design is ideal for any kitchen space. Whether you're cooking in a cramped RV or setting up a portable cooking station at home, this range hood fits easily without taking up too much space. The construction feels solid, and I love that it’s lightweight yet durable.3-Speed Exhaust Fan: The fan works incredibly well! With three different speed settings, I’ve been able to adjust the suction power depending on the intensity of the cooking. Whether I’m frying, grilling, or using it for a light cookout, the fan effectively draws out smoke, steam, and odors, ensuring the space stays fresh. Even on the highest setting, it doesn’t create much noise, which is a huge plus for me since I prefer a quiet cooking experience.Low Noise Operation: This range hood operates quietly compared to other fans I’ve used in the past. It’s refreshing to find a portable kitchen fan that doesn’t overwhelm you with noise but still gets the job done. The low noise level makes it perfect for using indoors or in an RV where noise can be a concern.Large Oil Collection Cup: One of my favorite features is the large oil collection cup. It catches grease and oil from cooking, keeping your kitchen cleaner and minimizing mess. It's easy to detach and clean, ensuring I don’t have to worry about a buildup of grease over time.Detachable Aluminum Filter: The detachable aluminum filter is another standout feature. It’s easy to clean and maintain, and I appreciate that it traps grease and smoke effectively. After using it for multiple cooking sessions, it still looks good as new with minimal upkeep.Versatility: Whether you’re hosting an indoor BBQ, cooking on an RV trip, or simply need an extra fan for your kitchen, this portable range hood is versatile enough to handle various cooking styles. It’s incredibly efficient at filtering out cooking fumes and smoke, ensuring a more enjoyable cooking experience.Overall: If you're looking for a portable, efficient, and low-noise range hood that can keep up with your indoor BBQ sessions, RV cooking, or just regular kitchen needs, this is the one to go for. It’s practical, easy to use, and makes a real difference in maintaining a fresh cooking environment. Highly recommended!

I got this mainly because I don't have any type of ventilation over my stove top. After reading many reviews I wasn't if It would work for me so I decided to try it out for myself. So, in terms of cutting down on the smell of cooking or frying food it does a lousy job, which in hindsight makes sense. But like I said I had to find out for myself. As far as capturing grease I can't say because I don't cook with a lot of grease/oil.
