Over all this is a decent document camera. It's reasonably compact, and quick to setup. It's software came on a USB stick and CD media. I didn't go to the website to see if the software included was the latest. The software works great for raw text on a page. But when it comes to photo reproduction, it really falls on its sword. If you look at my Meals in Minutes book, the left photo was taken with my cell phone. The right photo was taken with the document scanner. Keep that in mind when shopping for scanners. The software does come with a pretty thick book, so there could be an option in there to adjust for the color issue mentioned before. If you scan quick enough (as it is rather fast) you can get ahead of the software and cause it to "pause" your scanning as it adjusts, cleans up, and prepares your scan. You can see the "pause" in the photo with the blue circle.Which brings me to the impressive thing about the software. It does adjust and level out your scans before storing them into a PDF (or other formats if you desire). It can be tricked by photos in a book. it'll either focus on the text panel and ignore the photos (and vise versa) or it will focus on other things you don't want (see photo with highlighted box on "vegetables" page. You can switch to manual and manually fence in the area you want to scan. When doing manual fencing, you also lose some of the auto-adjusting it is doing. By doing that you get all the area you want to scan.It may lack some of the features of the more expensive scanners. But what it does bring to the table is a great document scanner

The product many image options and quickly i had good results. You should test what is the best setting for what you are going to photograph. I think the led lights maybe a little dim , as there can be no light on the ceiling above the device , otherwise it causes a slight shadow of the camera arm on the scanned document image.

I collect antique & vintage paper ephemera, and part of what I do involves scanning the items to restore or otherwise offer them for use by other graphic designers/artists. When I no longer need a physical item, I may list it online for sale.Pros:- Easy to set up and use- Multiple file formats- Great for taking photos of flat items like books and papers- Takes a lot of the effort out of preparing these sorts of items for sale on eBay, Etsy, etc.Cons:- Can only take photos at 72 DPI. This is fine for viewing something on a screen like your computer or cell phone, but not good for printing. I cannot use this device for my main job.- The pad it comes with gets dirty VERY easily. A lint roller will help.- Built-in light isn't actually helpful -- you'll find it will reflect off your document a lot, and you're better off having a separate lighting set-up here. If, like me, you list a lot of flat things on eCommerce sites, you might find this device a lot easier to work with than having a regular camera area since - lighting aside - it can be put away really quickly. If you're hoping to get away with scanning print-quality stuff for under $400... sorry, not going to happen. If you just want to scan your textbooks or your friends' textbooks so you can view them on your computer, though, it works well for that purpose. Just saying.Re: the price: This isn't super expensive. If you want something that will scan at much higher quality, expect to pay at least double.

This item works as good as you imagine it when you read the product description. This is my first camera scanner and I am so impressed. I scanned numerous files in a fraction of the time that it used to take with my paperfed/flatbed scanner. The quality of the image was great, super fast, and so easy. It took only a few minutes to the install the software and then took me a few minutes to figure out how to use it. Once I did it went super fast.

Over the last 8 months, I have purchased about 10 document cameras (four different brands/models) for the department's equipment pool. Of all the ones we have, this is, by far, the best one in terms of build quality and functionality. Unfortunately, they are NOT being used as document scanners so I cannot comment on that functionality. They are, however, used on a daily basis to teach on-line lectures. The quality of the picture is great and the number of options/adjustments one has is great as well. Of course, at higher resolution, the refresh rate suffers but that is expected. I use the camera at 720p resolution (as that the resolution I use to stream my lectures) at the default refresh rate (~50Hz) and I have no problems in general with the small lag. I use OBS in Linux with two cameras on and two other sources and the setup works great and have very fine control of all the cameras' parameters. I most often switch off dynamic/automatic exposure adjustment on the iOCHOW document camera as it is slow but for on-line lectures, it is best to do this anyway unless you are not just writing on paper. My colleagues and the TAs use their iOCHOW with Windows (either using OBS or directly through MS Teams) and it works great as well. The extra-large thin neoprene mat that comes with the camera is a big plus. All in all, highly recommended.

I bought this camera to scan the documents that required to be copied. Its size is small and it’s easy to install. It works very well, only takes seconds to scan the papers and create the PDF with high quality. This camera can scan bigger size papers up to A3 which is amazing. The foldable design save lots of space when I’m not using it. Overall I’m very satisfied with this camera even though the price is a bit expensive but it’s worth it .

This document camera/scanner is well made. Mine is in a kind of beautiful shinning rose gold color. It's light weight and compact. I can fold the scanner and mat, and fit into my backpack or tote bag. I used this to scan books and documents and it can automatically output in Pdf or Word documents. I used this to scan some pictures and the color came out same as the originals. I think this is a smart scanner. It can also record my writing process which is a great function to have. I'm glad with this product.

Great device, really portable and can be used anywhere. Worked really well with Windows 10 quick and easy setup. The mat is perfect for everything and all sizes of papers. One downside is using the CD for install instead of online driver installer.

I'll start this review by saying that while yes this scanner is a little on the expensive side it is worth every penny. The set up was very easy and straightforward. I dont have a CD drive in my laptop but I was able to go to the company's website and find the files I needed to install the software. The scanner produces high quality scans and is very fast. I have a printer with a scanner built in but this one blows that one out of the water. Everything folds up which would make it very easy to transport. The only thing that would make this better would be if they included some kind of bag to transport the scanner and keep it safe but it is very easy to pack back up and put in the box to use that fir transportation. Great scanner, a little pricey, quality scans, easy to use, scans fast.
