I was so excited to find a way to make sparkling water in my RV without being tempted to lug my Sodastream (tm) around. - Well, I didn’t pay attention and now I have a single use gadget (1 cartridge per carbonation) for only 500ml (16.9oz), making this gadget impractical for simple water carbonation => too expensive and wasteful, since each cartridge is made of heavy steel and would need to be recycled to repurpose it.-. Factually: It allows you to carbonated any liquid which is kind of neat. All you have to do is clean it out after using something other than water.-. First Use: The first use of CO2 breaks through the seal on the bottom of the bottle and looks a bit strange ( I was not prepared for this and didn’t see any directions that mentioned this). I’m not sure where this piece ended up -> .it was not in the bottle nor in my drink…->. It carbonates water fairly easily. You just have to turn the bottom (which requires quite a bit of hand strength) in order to pierce the cartridge. Here is a photo of the membrane after first use.**. OVERALL.**If you really want to re-carbonate stale sodas or carbonate juices this is the way to go. If you like to add carbonated water to a drink, then this is too expensive…you might as well buy cans of carbonated water at 1/3 the cost.🌟Verdict🌟 => 3 STARS: small bottle; one time use/cartridge - expensive at about $1/cartridge = 500ml carbonated liquid⭐️ -> (*My RATE SCALE*: 5=perfect; 4=minor imperfections; 3=on fence; not sure if I’d buy again; 2= too many problems; 1= shouldn’t be sold or is dangerous).>> -> Please NOTE: I consider 4 Stars a very high rating.

The instructions are easy to read and follow. I used cold filtered water for my first run. My hands are weak, so I had to use a gripping tool to get the bottom to close. The result tasted slightly like tonic water. I was surprised by the spritz of CO2, so fast! The instructions say to shake 5-6 times, but do it gently. I then added some ginger ale syrup. Keeping the lid on keeps my drink carbonated. The cartridge is only one-time use, but keeping the lid on should keep my drink carbonated for a while. I have a larger unit for home use, but this will be convenient for road travel. I wouldn't try to take this on a plane. Overall, a fun device.

The build and instructions are really simple. The build is good and the included pods work perfect. First i tried using some water filled up to the line on the side. The amount is adjusted on the lid. I felt i went to a small setting and it did overflow a bit. Thankfully with water it wasn’t a bad cleanup. I was more cautious my next time running it. I put flat soda in it and put it on a low setting and it was much better no leaks. And it properly recarbonated it. I have played with it quite a bit using apple juice to make a psuedo-cider and it was great. It’s fun and works great.

Well designed. It works just like a Sodastream. The same amount of carbonation. If you want the occasional drink then this is the way to go. Check out Stur drink flavorings, so much better than bottled drinks.
