Item did not work. Would have liked to receive a replacement but guess what it was on sale and there is no replacements available. Surprise Surprise.

I never write reviews but I have to say thos is the best $50 purchase I've probably ever made ...takes a little figuring out and understanding how it works but once you get it....it does way more than it says it can do....can weld pebbles of sand but can also weld razer blades

After building only 2 battery packs (a couple hundred spot welds 48v / 72v) the unit no longer can weld the same nickel strips. Too much strain on a low quality cell inside. (Not a high enough C rating for the “B” grade cell used within)Real bummer because when it did work - I liked the size, and even the quality of the screen and electrodes.

Works OK for Lithium battery pack builds when using Pure Nickel Strip .012mm or thinner. .Doesn't bond well at all if using "clad" nickel strips thicker than .10, but .01 pure nickel strips will weld OK;Would I purchase the same one again? NO

I used the welder to attach thin, magnetic stainless steel material to non-magnetic stainless steel. The magnetic steel was an old-style razor blade (i.e. really thin). It worked perfectly, even on the lowest power setting ('gear setting').Replacing rechargeable batteries in my 24 year old cordless screwdriver was also easy. The cables are fairly short - but on the other hand, having them longer could also cause problems. The one other issue I have deals with the display and the instructions. It is not clear in the instructions just which LED must be lit to use manual or automatic welding mode. But that is a minor issue, as it can easily be tested.

Works and does what it says. Good for spot welding thin metal pieces in to batteries. I used it to change out a cmos battery. I don't personally have a lot of uses for this product but I needed to fix something and it did what it was specifically designed for.

Purchased to fix the 18650 pack in a small floor sweeper. Worked well, giving strong welds even on power 2/5. The auto-sensing works and gives enough time to get the probes pressed firmly before firing the pulse. Easy to learn on, and got the job done.Wish it came with a rubber cover for the weld jacks, it could be a nice power bank as well if it didnt have a risk of shorting itself to a laptop or other metallic items in a backpack.

I initially bought a small spot welding board that ran off a car battery. At the highest setting, it was so-so at best. This welder is in a different league. I started it at the mid power setting and it has more power than my old welder. At the highest setting, it burns right through the included straps. This will have no trouble handling any welding of small battery packs. Also, it can also be used as a battery pack to charge your cell phone or tablet. I was able to charge my phone, Samsung tablet and my wife's iPad on a single charge with more power to spare. It's a great little device! There is also a version of this with an LCD display that give more detailed info but this one with just the LED bar graph works wonderfully. Recommended!
