The release valve on my porter cable air compressor needed to be replaced because the O-ring disintegrated. I was confused at first when looking at this part compared to the one I took off as it slightly different. The original compressor part you had to unscrew in order to close the tank. With this new and improved part, you screw it in to close the tank and it will last much longer without the O-ring that goes bad. screw in the air. Compressor works perfectly.

I was pleased when I received this replacement valve, it was made of brass instead of steel, it will definitely last longer than the original, which rusted and became useless. Iām very happy with it, fit perfectly, had sealant on the threads already. I recommend this product.

I was skeptical this was going to work for my type Porter Cable Compressor (C2002 Type 8). The original release valve looked a lot different. However, a 15mm, deep socket, some good torque, and the old rusted release valve came out. New one went in. Compressor is back to working order.

Simple rescue for valve leaking on air compressor! Works like a charm, slightly larger than original so you have to lift and tip compressor to drain it completely when decompressing.
