I am hoping that this photo represents a true likeness of President Washington...I like its' clarity and goes very well the other photos of presidents I currently have. Are there any photos of President Washington in uniform or daily dress, full length standing ? I know photos were difficult in that period.

First the good: The print quality is excellent and the paper is nice and heavy. I'd say this is a quality piece that will last a long time. The red in Washington's cheeks is less pronounced in the print than in the graphic for this item.Now for the bad: If you've looked around, you'll notice this particular portrait is available in prints of varying brightness. The graphic for this listing shows that this is one of the darker ones. Maybe we got a bad one, but the print we received is even darker than the listing graphic. There's virtually no contrast between Washington's coat and the background. We will probably purchase a lighter version of this portrait.
