I had no idea how much I needed this warming mat until I started using it. Now, it’s a major improvement in our kitchen. From keeping meals warm, to quickly defrosting frozen meat, so far this warming Mat delivers what it promises. Check your surface type before use though. This is recommended for glass, marble, and wood surfaces, but we didn't trust and put a small fireproof mat under it the first time. Turns out it wasn't needed. That’s not to say you can’t use it on a stovetop, or a counter, only that you should be careful and test the surface first. We use a silicon mat underneath it now instead of the previously mentioned mat, but again, we chanced it and had no problem. If you’re going to use it on the highest temp setting, this should definitely be a consideration because it gets hot.What I Like:• Rapid & Even Heating – The mat truly heats the entire surface in just seconds, ensuring uniform warmth without hot spots. In other words, the heat is even across the mat.• Adjustable Temperature & Timer – With 6 heat settings (122°F–212°F) and a timer up to 6 hours, I like that I can customize the warmth to fit different foods, from casseroles to appetizers, even my coffee cup while preparing breakfast for the gang at our house.• Compact & Easy Storage – I like that it rolls up neatly and fits into its small provided storage bag—perfect for my limited kitchen space.• Versatile & Safe – Works with glass, ceramic, metal, and plastic, and the built-in safety shut-off provides peace of mind. Remember to consider surface type for first time placement.Usefulness:• Perfect for Holiday Dinners & Potlucks – Will keep everything at the right temperature without drying it out.• Great for Meal Prep & Hosting – No more rushing to serve everything at once—this mat holds food at the right temperature. I also tested it with my surface thermometer and its temperature settings are accurate.• Quick Defrosting – It thaws frozen meat much faster than leaving it out, without the uneven cooking that microwaves can cause.This warming mat has already become an everyday essential in our kitchen.
