I’ve got another potty step stool (bebeleh), but it’s clever how this one starts as a mini potty of its own and then transforms into a step stool to get on the big potty. I think that would make transitioning easier. This one comes completely disassembled, so it’s a little bit of work to get it together. And the build quality is okay but not as sturdy as some other products. And it just seems too unsecured in standalone potty mode, which was the one thing that might have otherwise distinguished this from the competition. It doesn’t lock into place - so if you pick it up by the grab bars the lower legs will swing to the floor as you lift. It’s just not the sort of thing that’s going to stay in one place while a toddler flails around. So I’ll stick with my bebeleh unit even though it doesn’t have a clever standalone-on-the-floor mode.Pay attention to the photo as to how to operate it in standalone potty mode - the lower legs fold begins but you need to turn the bottom step so it sits vertically for things to sit right.

I love the versatility of a potty seat that can be used on the toilet seat and also be a portable, stand alone potty. Assembly is required, but isn't difficult. The printed instructions are pretty basic, but they include a link to a video demo, in case you need more help. The "screws" are large and plastic, and the kit includes a hard plastic piece to use as a "screwdriver". See my pic for a visual. They seem to hold well and were easy to tighten.I'm concerned about how durable this will be long term. We have several grandsons who are currently potty training, so time will tell. I will post an update once they've put it through its paces.

This is great for potting training my kids. My almost three year old was showing signs of wanting to be potty trained and this was the perfect addition to use to make the training easier. I would recommend for any parent that is starting the process of potty training!

the small pot that is included is not very useful for little boys, because the part to block the pee is not high enough. you have to make sure the child is leaning forward so that the pee will not shoot out

This is a great option for you to have for your toddler in the bathroom, especially if you're short on floor space for a floor potty, or you just don't want to clean out one of those toddler floor potties. It folds up nice and compact, to sit next to your toilet on the floor when not in use. My son isn't a fan of the original one for the potty we got for him, and he seems to like this one better. The original one I got him didn't have steps, so it wasn't very sturdy on the toilet, like this one!
