The description indicates for left/drivers side. This specific motor does not fit the drivers and appears to be for the right/passenger side.

The automotive shop will tell you that it will cost between $1600 - $1800 to fix a power running board. Ford will tell you they can't just order the motor, and you have to order brackets and other stuff.I tried using a well-known online auto parts place, and three times they sent the wrong side. The box would have the correct number, but the part was on the wrong side. I put in the return what the problem was, but they never corrected it. Since there was no way to email or call them, I gave up I felt like they had hit "Rock" bottom and tried another online place. It was the correct part but was wired backward, so the board when up when the door was open and came out when the door closed. Finally I looked on Amazon and found this motor. It was actually less expensive than the other options I had tired. It took a few days to come in. I opened it up and an hour later I had a working running board. I only wish I had come here first.BTW: I did not remove the running board. I simply took the old motor off and put the new one on. Three bolts were holding it on, and one bolt in what one might call a key ( a wedged shape aluminum with a hole in it that holds the running board in place.Everywhere I looked, it said you had to take the running board off, use a torch, and hit it with a hammer, but I did not. (However, my truck, a 2012 F150, has been garage kept so it wasn't too dirty which may be why I could replace it without taking the running board off). I had the old motor off and the new motor on in 15 minutes. I spent 45 minutes trying to get the wedged-shaped key in place. I found it you close it against the scissor arms of the running board, it somewhat holds it in place, and you can kind of slide it in place.Last note: You will need a 13MM shallow socket and a Allen head wrench.
