*Edit* this link only lasted 4 months before it started leaking from the center of it.2000 4runner. The low pressure return input on the reservoir sticks out almost 2 inches more than stock before turning 90°. Shouldn't effect stock rigs but if you have an aftermarket air intake enclosure it will be an issue. Pump is louder and not as strong as my previous pump. Otherwise it was a nice cheap fix with good-enough build quality to get the job done.

this pump is louder than a white girl doing Dollaritas at Applebees. Ive heard Whipple Superchargers quieter than this pump. Presentation out the box, was good. It looked good and felt of decent quality. Had no problems getting the bracket or pulley on. Even installed a new belt to make myself feel good. I bled the air out like ChrisFix taught me. And then i started the truck, it was fine at first. But i turned the wheel, and the whine started and it kept going even AFTER i straighten out the wheels. At that moment I knew I had a problem.I lost out on an afternoon, and about a qt of Dexron. But I left feeling upset at myself because I bought a cheap pump. Since I needed the truck by the weekend, I ended up going to an Auto Parts store and did exactly the thing I was avoiding to do.TLDR: I was being a cheapass and it bit me in the ass. Don’t buy this pump.

Same complaint as some of the others here. Replaced a pump that had a leaking shaft seal but was _quiet_. This thing whines like a vacuum cleaner! Noisy!!I have initiated a request for a replacement, lets see if they can do better on the second one.Update - replacement was quick, works great, no whine.

I installed this pump on my ‘97 4Runner and it fit great. The only issue was it was super noisy. I flushed the system and it was still super loud. They replaced it and the new one works like a champ.

I read quite a few reviews stating the pump was loud which is not the case. I was skeptical of this pump at first and almost ordered an OEM pump through Toyota however I’m glad I decided to purchase this instead. I sill say the overall build quality isn’t as good as Toyota’s pump but that’s as to be expected with 3rd party parts. I will update this review if anything changes but as of now the pump in installed on my 02 Limited and I am very happy!
