This controller lasted about 2 or 3 years for my kids. That is pretty good for a third-party controller. Considering all the brand-new Microsoft controllers are plagued by inevitable stick-drift after just a couple months of use. 2 years is a pretty good controller life.

Luckily there was one more of these brand new older style design, Model A, xbox one controllers available online. I would have bought more than one if it would have been available. Not sure what I'll do when this one wears out which it inevitably will. Wal Mart now only carries this new annoyingly round with buttons in different places Power A controller for the One. The new Power A design is awful. And certainly I must have a wired controller, I'm not trying to irradiate the family jewels just to play a video game. What was Power A thinking when they changed away from this awesome design? They should have at least continued to offer this particular design to those whom liked it. The Amazon brand One controller is close, but lacks some of the design angles. Will the tech developers of the world please take a lifetime vacation, stop changing everything, stop reconfiguring everything, slow down with the 'advances', and let the people enjoy existing content and existing designs? I don't play video games so every wannabe developer and programmer in the world can have a steady day job. Nobody knows how to furnish a finished product in the video game and equipment realm lately. It's far less fun than before to be a video gamer, with these contrived expectations that me the gamer, am supposed to appreciate a never ending stream of changes, watch games reach end of life in record setting always shorter time frames, always spending on unnecessary new equipment.

Edit 2: I got my second replacement, this one seems fine.EDIT: I received my replacement. The right rumble motor is STILL weaker than the left one, but it works much better than the first.Defective Right Rumble motor, otherwise goodI ordered this product from amazon, and it arrived in not a box, but rather a very weird bag, I am not 100% it was pacakged safely, the one I received came in a rather large envelope and the box was a little squishedI connected the controller to my PC, and everything wroked fine, until I launched BF1. I launched my pilot test, as I always do, problem was, I could not feel the vibrations of the shooting at allSo, I took to investigating. I pulled up 2 different utilities for testing controllers "game controlelr test", app for windows 10And the one called "game controller vibration tester". The right rumble motor failed both tests. I can only deduct that its defective. I suspect it could have been damaged on a drop since I received it, but I cannot confirm this. I can only suggest maybe sending this in a box rather than a folder with a thin bubble wrap.Other than taht, the controller is good! The thumbsticks are ok. There is very lsight yet noticeable deadzone on the right side of both thumbsticks, its minimal, but its STILL noticeable, movemenets at the very edge of the stick's right side will be slightly afected (weirdly, on the left side, the deadzone is almost completly gone, its quite amazing actually, The left side of both thumbsticks is extremely well balanced. The right side of the thumbsticks has the same problem on both thuimbstkcs)Other than the rumble problem, this seems like a ncie controller. I will update once I receive my replecement.Update! Replacement failed, they will honor the guarantee on the replacement. I'd overall rate the controller ok, but for some weird reason, it's prone to faulty rumble motors. Double check upon order to make sure it works fine, if you get a good one, congrats, it's quite a nice controller.

It fits nicely into my hand, has a carbon-fibre-ish design on the back which semi helps with sweaty hand gamers. The sticks are slightly smaller than on the Microsoft controllers but I do prefer the feel of these ones more. There is no Lable for the Start (Menu) and Select (Change View) buttons, so unless you know where they are supposed to be, or you guess, that is a slight annoyance for me trying to teach my sister how to play Skyrim but that's me.There is a white LED in the middle of the controller that shows if it is active or not, which I prefer over the home button being lit.The rumbles need to warm up, they are also subtle and not that prominent, but they are there (at least on the games I tried on PC, your mileage may vary on Xbox)The aux jack works as expected, the quality is perfect so long as you have a good headset and your mates do too.The buttons all work properly and the controller functions great.Overall a great price for what you buy, and I would absolutely recommend and buy it again if I need another Xbox 1 controller.(btw most of the back images are wrong but the front is still the same, I think they changed the product without updating the page.)EDIT 2018 sept 12.The vibrators on my controller broke about 3 months in, I sent in a claim to the Power A website and they sent me a new controller 3 weeks later. The customer service was a bit slow but satisfactory in the end, better than most customer service experiences I have had.

Bought this as a back up for my main controller. Ended up using it all the time. It’s a really good controller. Feels a little lighter than the original Xbox one controller but don’t need to change batteries all the time which is a real bonus. Very glad I got one and didn’t go for another cordless one. The buttons do stick a little sometimes which is frustrating and the trigger buttons are quite loud when you press them down when button bashing lol. Still, I’d get another one of these for sure.
