Used these to reinforce a Kallax ikea shelf.They worked perfectly, the construction is solid. They are a tighter fit than traditional wooden dowels.Use a mallet if need be, these are lightly coated in oil. My guess is to prevent rust or make it easier to slide into place.

have a cnc bed that is only so large... so from time to time have to tile something bigger than 24". typically I would cut a hole with a 1/4" bit, then use several 1/4" bits as pins to locate/move a piece. Unfortunately then grabbing my bits out -I'm grabbing the sharp end... and figured sooner or later that would result in a cut. Had concerns that locating pins might not be precision as I cannot have any wobble in the pin when I locate. these are rock solid tight based on the hole cut via my whiteside bit. very happy camper here!

The ones I got are .284 in diameter and will no do the job they were purchased for.
