Insane quality. I use it in my Bambino (not a plus) and it’s perfect. The feel/weight/hold is all incredibly solid. Holds the baskets that came with the Bambino perfectly.

I use the basket that came with my Breville machine. I decided to get this to see if there was channeling anywhere. It is messy; spray gets all over the back wall of the espresso machine. It's not an issue when we use a taller cup to catch the espresso shots. Once we popped the basket in the naked portafilter, it fit snuggly like the og (original) Breville portafilter. Nothing spilled over during brewing. We like the quality of the handle a lot. It comes apart, so we don't have to get that handle wet all the time after cleaning it. Taste-wise, we pulled a less hollow shot vs if we used the og portafilter. Bambino doesn't like it when we grind too fine on the baratza so we kept the grind setting the same. The shot with our medium roasted beans was tangy (not like lemon tangy) and a little sweet. Glad we upgraded to this portafilter and tasted the difference.

Got this portafilter to replace the stock one coming with Breville Bambino Plus. My plan was to use it with IMS Precision basket H24 14-18g (stock portafilter can not use IMS basket).Some other bottomless portafilters are very loose in Bambino. This one is perfect, not too tight, and definitely not loose. Like a stock one, but bottomless.Heard some feedbacks that the thread gets loose. To prevent it I added a tiny bit of blue threadlocker, and that worked perfectly!Only one complaint:there is a round part (hiding the thread connection), and it is quite thick. The problem with this - the portafilter does not stay flat when placed on a scale. But if I use it with the funnel, the added weight of coffee and funnel actually balances it out and it stays almost straight.Overall, would definitely recommend it to anybody who is looking for a naked portafilter for Bambino or Bambino Plus or any other 54mm machine.

Works very well with my machine, it splatters a little when extracting coffee, so maybe good to lift the cup closer to the portafilter to not waste any of the liquid gold...

Works fantastic and has a nice aesthetic to it. Unfortunately, the timing and fit wasn’t to my liking. Timing wise, I’m still a noob so my lack of addressing channeling causes quite a mess with splashing all over the place. This is not the fault of the product at all as the product does serve its purpose in showing me just how bad it was. Securing the basket to my machine had a super tight fit and I felt it might have caused premature wear over time. That said, there is no proof I have that it would happen since I ended up returning. 5 stars though because it was a decent value.

This thing is pretty awesome compared to my stock Breville portafilter. I was going to hold out on the naked filter, but went ahead and got a new one anyway. It's true what they say. It does look much better pulling shots with a naked pf vs the stock pf.As long as your tamp is good and your espresso is compressed, it should be easy to pull good shots with this. I also bought the IMS 18-22g bucket to compliment and they are a great pair.The only con is the handle can loosen pretty easily. It's solid and worth it, but I'm considering some thread locker. It may even be a normal occurrence for similar portafilter, but idk yet.Also I gave it 5 stars on flavor, but I'm gonna be honest. I didn't taste it. It didn't seem relevant to the review.

I use a Breville Barista Pro. I purchased this portafilter to help diagnose my shots, as I only used the Breville portafilter pressurized double basket in the past.To my amazement, my shots pulled really well with this portafilter coupled with the non-pressurized double basket. No channeling or spraying. The way the shot poured seemed pretty normal I guess. Black for a split second followed by a smooth, light brown stream.I have no doubt this portafilter will help with dialing things in as I continue to experiment by adjusting beans, grind size, and extraction time. For this I think a bottomless portafilter is very useful.My only complaint with this portafilter is it's definitely a tight fit when you lock it into place. With how expensive my Breville machine was, I worry I might be damaging it. All I can do is be gentle as I lock into place. I may switch between this and the stock Breville portafilter to help preserve the machine.

Overall fit, feel and finish is good. My only real complaint is that the side walls of the filter are very tall so the basket is very recessed. Makes seeing the extraction more difficult which is sort of the whole purpose of this sort of thing.
