The various tools in this kit are useful. However, the pads and shims in this kit don't work together.These pads are harder than the original pads on my Yamaha 371 flute. Harder pads are not necessarily bad. In fact, many high-end flutes use very hard pads. However, hard pads do require precise adjustments. The shims in this kit are the thickest shims I have ever seen. They make precise adjustments impossible.
