I read that my shrimp needed this and it was wonderful! It did whatever it was supposed to do for them. I think that means it collects biofilm / or makes it? Gets slimy quickly, which is very healthy for shrimp - anything to make them happy and this does it! :-)

To be fair.. it’s exactly 4 inches. I bought this for my hamster’s enclosure so I can’t even be mad about it but I definitely need something larger like a grapewood branch. Wouldn’t recommend this for a syrian enclosure but this small piece is more suitable for a robo or dwarf hamster.
