I used 1708 biaxial with backing mat on this project and had absolutely no problem getting it to lay with no bubbles.I also had a small portion of 17oz with no backing on it that also laid with absolute no problem.No matter what you do with this crap or how many times I pull of and reapply. You can not work out the bubbles. Save your self the headache and the time and buy from someplace else/and/or another brand.

I used this to repair my hood on my semi truck. This product works better than I expected thanks it did a superb job

I agree with one of the other reviews, this is quality stuff, doesn’t pull or unravel, easy to work with and the finished result was amazing!The customer service from the seller is unparalleled to anything I’ve had in a long Long time! I wish I could give more stars! Definitely would recommend these products and company to anyone!

Not all fiberglass is equal in quality. You can get something cheapo that unravels, has cuts, and weak spots across the canvas. Or you can get something like this. How do I know? I've bought the lesser quality, vaguely describes fiber glass right here on Amazon. This is very high quality fiber glass made by a personable company. Easily overlaps in 'X' pattern for multi-layered applications. Will Purchase again.

This fiberglass was used as the first layer on the sides of my flats boat. The fiberglass was applied with Total Boat 2:1 epoxy system and formed a very strong layer. This fiberglass is definitely high quality and also very flexible for its weight. I’d recommend it to anyone!

Large size was easy to make a sort of replacement hood for my John Deere lt 155 mower with out spending in excess of $450.00.

Excellent quality, very very strong, perfect with west marine epoxy, great seller! The picture attached shows my new transom covered / tabbed in with this glass, it's ridiculously strong. This glass with West System 105 will be way stronger than using 1708 with poly resin.
