It barely fits and it'd hard to adjust the reed.

This ligature helped give me a clearer and brighter sound. I used it on a tenor mouthpiece while playing my c melody sax. This also holds the reed really well.

Title said "Tenor Sax" and in the description said "Alto Sax" - This is definitely a Tenor Sax ligature. The ligature only fits tenor mouthpieces, not an alto sax or a slim tenor. It would probably would fit baritone mouthpiece, with the exception of slim varieties. It looks well made and holds the reed in place.Would I buy it again or recommend this to friend: Yes.

This product page has again a confusing product description: The headline says "Tenor Saxophone Ligature " while in the details it says "Alto Saxophone Ligature". So now what? Since my son just starts to learn the saxophone I had to look it up. It seams it doesn't matter, the size seam to be the same. You have to try if its fits or not. But still, the description should be more accurate and say "Tenor and Alto".After I tried it on the mouthpiece (including the reed) of my son Alto Saxophone I have to say, it is to large. I closed the screws to to the smallest possible setting, but it slips still to the end. I compared the size of the opening (closed screws) with each other: The small side measures 24 mm and 27.5mm , the large side 26mm and 30mm.I have still the mouth piece which came with the Saxophone, so perhaps there are other mouthpieces the ligature fits better.I will keep it as an emergency backup and just in case a new mouthpiece is larger the the original.

Stainless steel ligature works great on tenor sax. It is very good quality and should last a long tine.
