If I had put a bird in the cage with this swing and if he landed on the perch of the swing, The perch would have Fell to the bottom of the cage. Perch was broken all up on the bottom of the swing. Terrible packaging, it was in the original plastic bag that it is purchased with and put in another plastic bag for shipping. Horrible job guys!

My conure is very old so new items takes awhile for her to use. This product is very sturdy and the rods that attach it to the cage are not flimsy. The perch part is solid wood so it stands up to a lot of chewing.

I bought this to introduce my baby chickens to swinging. I put it in front of a dish of treats they love so they have to hop onto it to reach the treat. I started out with the swing touching the floor then raised it in small increments as their confidence built up. These chickens are well on the path to swinging like pros in no time! Speaking of no time, two star deduction because the wood is already starting to split apart where it was drilled to fit the metal hanging bars. The metal bars are simply crimped at the ends. Not bolted. Precarious indeed. This is marketed for larger birds like cockatiels or parrots but if it can’t hold up to occasional use over the course of one week by my lightweight chicks, then I think it’s highly doubtful it would last more than a couple days with a parrot. Regardless, I recommend this item because it is inexpensive and accurately described. I’m glad I bought it!
