I bought this to replace a leaking faucet in my shower...the shower dates back to 1998 - 14 years is not too bad! Anyway, the new fit is perfect - genuine product with fast shipping - can't beat it!

Perfect part that very few carry, but necessary for some Price Pfister models that may leak behind the wall when the o-ring wears or stops working. While you at it you should replace the hot/cold temp-valve (974-291) when replacing this part because you get immediate access to it when replacing this valve stem assembly. It's a very easy fix for DIY's, that a plumber would charge quite a bit to repair.
