I’m using this as my platform for an ultralight saddle rig. I am using the two tether climbing method with on tether being my rappel rope. I clip this to my saddle and I can use it to add in climbing when needed or to set the platform. Make sure you set it correctly or it can slide a bit. So far it’s held up though two scouting seasons and one hunting season with only minor wear. The only reason I took a star off is it can be finicky to get setup and get it just right.

I went out and put it on my telephone pole in my front yard and try them out wiggles all around held tight fit a hold on the telephone pole ain’t worried about no tree

These steps are awesome once you practice with them as everything. I swapped out the straps for lighter rope and wrapped them with stealth strips to quiet during transport. The only downside is finding a way to transport since they don't come with a bag, but as far as a run and gun set up goes these are ideal. Pack up small and are fairly light weight. I'm able to get to around 25ft with 8, I'm 6'2".

Easy attachment and sturdy. I have ladder tree steps and use these as a final offset step and another for a hand grab for entry and exit from a fixed position stand. It makes it much safer.

ended up getting 16 of these and they are just over a pound each...... turns out that these plus the tree sling is heavier than my old tree stand... ugg... but they do work as advertised.
