Your cart is empty.Socket set cap screws have cup points that produce a thin edge that digs into hard surfaces for a secure hold. This fastener is headless and contains an internal hex drive. Use an Allen wrench (hex key) to secure with required torque as needed. Although often used in machinery, they can be found around the home as well to secure window crank handles to window operators or to hold interior door knobs to spindles. Length is measured from the top of the fastener to the base of the cup point.

I teach Engineering in high school, and ordered these to fit the VEX shaft collars that we use in class. I ordered the first set in January of 2022, and they worked great! However, I eventually ran out, as kids will sometimes lose them if they unscrew them too far, so I ordered another set in November of 2024. I tried to use these, but the diameter of the screw has changed and they no longer fit the shaft collars. I reached out to customer service, with pictures of the old and new screws, to see if I can get a refund. They did their own measurements, and from what I gather, they measured the pitch of the screw, and not the diameter. The pitch is the same, so they said the screws were the correct size and would not issue a refund. To be clear, this was not a defective screw, as all of the new screws were the bigger size now.I am attaching photos of both the old and new screws, which are clearly different sizes. Avoid these at all costs if the diameter of the screw matters.

They are the wrong size, they they are labeled as #8-32 but are in fact #10-32. Found that out after trying to installed them into five freshly drilled a tapped holes . Retaped the holes with another fresh tap to be certain, then measured the screws with my thread gauge, and yup…wrong size. Freaking awesome

Description and bag say 8-32, but they're actually 10-32. Too small to bother returning, so will just chuck in the parts bin. FYI!

This screw fit the size I was looking for, however the socket stripped first time tightening. Now I can't get it out of the screw hole without an extractor kit... horrible product, waste of time.

Although the item was what I wanted, it was not delivered until a few days after the original delivery date. In this case, the delay didn’t matter too much. However I was disappointed.
