This is an assortment of the most common sash balance top and bottom guides. It contains the 2 most common top guides and 3 of the most common bottom guides. It also contains 2 rivets to install the top and bottom guide of your choice. In addition there is one take-out clip. Most of the time this kit will provide what is needed to finish installing 1 sash balance. Be sure to order the H 3740 riveting tool.

Ive had a broken window for years. Always unhappy when propping open with a stick everyday, 3 times or more a day.I mistakenly ordered thwo wrong kit, but even if it was the right one its would have been nice to know that this only fixes one side. It does only have two rivets, but because they only show one in the pic and contents listed shows two i wasn't aware that this is for only one side, which makes sense if only one side needs to be fixed. I also read that there's a few different kinds for those unsure of what to order, this also made me unaware of what is exactly the contents of this itemUltimately it is my error, Definetly mine, but it should have that listed more clearly that this is only for one side, and photshopppng another rivot, or ×2, next to it would've avoided my error that cost $8 and less minutes of my time than to write this review.Im just glad they do have the right kit. Can't wait to use my window like everyone else

This pieces worked great. I had a few old windows that I was able to repair instead of replacing them.

These fit well on the block and tackle window slides. Not hard to install and they seem to be working fine on a window that is opened infrequently.

Great replacement. Fits well. I had to improvise a rivet tool for the rivets. A center punch worked well.

These worked perfectly. Don't worry about setting the rivets. Just get the recommended tool (link below) and tap a couple times to mushroom the end just a bit using the tool and hammer. Then just hit the mushroomed end with the hammer directly to flatten it against the surface. Just takes a couple taps. Make sure you have a hard surface on the other end like an anvil or bench vise. Exactly what I needed!!! I used one package for both sides of the balance mechanism for the window... I think you would need two of these for one window for exact fit... I had to file of some of the plastic for a couple of the peaces so I didn't have to buy another kit. I also have searched numerous hardware stores for this hardware with no luck!!!
