This U.L. Listed door viewer is constructed of a solid brass housing, and it comes in a satin nickel plated finish. The lens of this viewer is made of glass and it features a 160 degree angle of view. This viewer can be installed on doors from 1-3/8 inch thick to 2 inch thick, with a required 1/2 inch diameter hole for installation of viewer. This door viewer is designed to help keep you safe when answering your door and is ideal for day or night viewing with adequate exterior lighting. This viewer is easy to install and it is used by many. As an available option, inside viewer covers (sold separately - not included with this item) prevent reversed visibility through door viewers from the exterior of the home, increasing the security and privacy of your home.

I got the to replace the old one I had. Which was the only part of the apartment that wasn't clean. So was very hard to see anything. Only took a minute to install and now I can be the nosy person I always was.

Not the easiest to install. This is a smaller peephole so it is difficult to drill the hole without splitting any wood at all on the door. Ended up having to patch a bit and repaint my whole door. But in the end it works great for what I needed. I do wish they made a cover for the inside of this smaller size so it looked better on the inside of the house but I haven’t been able to find one anywhere.

Sent it back I gave up…this is the second one I’ve purchased that wasn’t true to size. I think I’m just going to spray paint my old one.

I wanted to replace my brass colored door viewer with a satin nickel one - without having to enlarge the current 1/2 inch hole. The Defender Security U 10347 model was the perfect choice for me. The price was reasonable and I would recommend it to others who want to upgrade their current door viewer with minimal effort.

There was some type of debrie that was sealed inside the eye lens (during manufacturing) and it could not be removed. I tried everything, it is a loose piece plastic that obstructs 40 % of the view. If it wasn't for that object it would of been worth the money.
