I use these door screws on sliders and windows. I also use dowels to stop the slider from opening, but these screws are a good security measure even without dowels.

This is an easy way to secure your sliding doors. It works just fine. I would just drill a little hole on the rail where you are going to install it to make sure then screw is locked..Easy installation. Just remember to take it off before you open the door or you will scratch the whole rail

This is just a worthless piece of junk. It is not nearly wide enough to fit over the runner of your average sliding glass door. When it wouldn’t slide over mine I tried it on three other people’s doors and it wouldn’t fit over any of theirs either. Maybe it’s made in another country where the sliding glass doors are a different size but it does not work here in the USA!

The product was of good quality, easy to use and does it's job. Just double check how wide the sliding door/window channels are against the specifications of the product to ensure the fit is right.
