I tried this and the cash cow "all in". it was easy to achieve a good cow call with both, but this one is trickier for me to get a good, clean bugle out of due to the cut on the second reed. makes the higher notes quiver a bit more than I like. not a bad call, but for the same price I'd go with the "ripit" series of calls.update 11-12-20: I gave this call its 5th star. for a couple of reasons. 1st is that the tape and reed last more than one season (have for me anyways...and I am kinda abusive on them cuz I chew on em a bit). 2nd is that it makes elk sounds just fine...mews, chirps, even bugles if you need to. 3rd is that it is brightly colored so you can find it when you drop it in the truck. and 4th is that the state of California feels that it has to attach a warning to this product...and if its good enough to get kicked out of califonia, its good enough for me

A little difficult at first to get the right placement but once it was there it was spot on and called in elk like crazy.

It didn't fit my mouth very well. It was hard to call due to the size.
