This is quite the boat! 30 inches long is bigger than one might think, the speed looks quite scale but when you need full throttle will give you enough to make a decent wake. It turns on a dime however the reverse is a little lack luster. It’s more of a brake than a reverse. The quality is nice all parts were intact and every magnet was glued down for the hatches contrary to some youtube video reviews. I ran a 3C 5000mah battery and had about 20-25 minutes of run time, took the boat home and still had half the battery left. So if run at a scale speed you could get at least an hour. For sure high price point but for a solid watertight boat I think it was a good deal!

Excellent for the price. This boat is very well made and has working lights. The scale detail is also impressive. Definitely worth the price.

The boat works great, super fun unfortunately the channel 3 does not work. It's just this little part... the company will not respond back. I'd hate to have to return this whole boat over a little teeny part The size of my thumb makes no sense to me. wish they had better support ...no phone number to call, just some email they never answer

I laughed at my 80 year old husband when he bought this since he could barely get down to the dock, much less get the boat into the water. His brother helped him the ONLY time it got in the water. OK, YES it was fun to watch. This is an expensive big boy toy but he liked it. Yes, it was worth it for him.

Proboat makes models that work well, but they are inconsistent on good visual style. This model is rather cheap looking and hasn't the attention to style that, say, an Aquacraft model would have. But Aquacraft's tugboat is no more...so here we are. For many years I use [that] tug to go get other models, but the arms of this proboat tug are just what high-spending r/c boat hobbyists need. And under the hood, proboat shines brighter.Still, for 450 dollars they failed to deliver the good looks. (Not 450 dollars worth.) OTOH, in their Vietnam PBR reproduction they absolutely nailed realistic scale modeling. Inconsistent.I know many people are happy enough with having a great way of getting their expensive turtled speed boat back, but for people who lean towards scale and realism instead of high speed, this venerable workboat we all almost instinctively know "just screams" of second world manufacturing. What you see is what you get. Don't be afraid that this is somehow a lemon; it is not.One last thing! Do NOT buy the battery the owner's manual tells you too, *until you verify that your boat does have that kind of connector.* Mine did not and I lost 3-cell lipo money getting mine a unique power source that the proboat ESC in this tug can work with. My boat must predate the latest edition of the owner's manual because mine hasn't the connector it calls for. That connector is a brand new invention to me.Why does the industry keep making new connectors?! Proboat has done just that, here. They don't work any better. It might be a way of getting people to buy specialized batteries. 'My boat needs a new kind of battery connector that I never have heard of, so I will have to go to the hobby companies that sell new converters. Hello, ebay.'
