When making multiple seams, this will save hours. Eliminating down time, producing stronger seams. A must have for the professional installer

This is the second one I’ve owned. Got everyday use out of the first one for five years. Like the fact that this one has a little more added weight.

The purpose of the product is great but my issue was that it only worked for about 2 weeks of use. I contacted the company that makes them but not response in over a month.

I don't know how I made thousands of seams throughout my flooring career without this tool, If you istall carpet for a living and you dont have this tool on the van, your making a mistake! This is a must have tool once you use it, it will pay for itself the first week or two.... Oh and pattern matching is so much easier with this tool because you can cool and stretch to align patterns without popping a seam! No brainer....

This is my second Seamer Down to quickly remove the heat from melted carpet seam tape. I am impressed with this one, and it doesn't seem to be as loud as the first one.

Complete Gimmick. Bought mine from a flooring dealer, not Amazon for a 3 year warranty instead of 1 year. I havent had problems putting seams together without this, due to practice and skill, this is marketed more toward inexperienced installers. Takes more time to initially make the seam and doesn't cool off the seam for stretching immediately. You still have to let the seam cool down, keep it away from youre iron or it will suck the smoke burning off into the pile and stain the carpet. It is too light for a seam weight, it helps cool the seam after it has been completed though. Extremely loud and very cheaply constructed, cost is way too much, and requires a lot of time cleaning after each seam you make with it. I spoke with one of the creators and designers, he informed me the only reason this tool was developed was so his organization could fund all of their mission work abroad.

I've been installing floors for 18 years finally bought one about 2 months ago Its a good buy wish I done it years ago no matter how much bow or off the rows are this makes everything easier by cooling down the seam behind the iron to readjust rug to perfect seams ...the days of roofing nails up and down the seam to hold patterns in place are over...and if u just gotta a little burner for a closet seam for a one room job your not sitting around for 20 mins waiting on it to cool ...only down side to this tool would be it needs to come with a hard shell case ,ships in a box an that's all you get with it I can't find a toolbox that fits it I've been looking at hard shell luggage for it

Its a bit expensive and was a bit skeptical on purchasing at first but decided to try it and can honestly say its the best investment ive made it cools your seams down in a flash so no more waiting to power stretch allowing you to complete your jobs much faster than before and it also helps to fix a bowed pattern carpet allowing you to actually match your pattern also helps with peaked seams (when youre seam is flawless but then you go to stretch it and its now visible because the seam creates a little mountain) if this thing ever broke down on me i'd happily and easily buy it again and would never go to a jobsite without it, a must have for all carpet installers its a no brainer just be sure to clean out the vaccum filter every once in a while carpet fibers get sucked into it and eventually fills up and obviously cant cool youre seam like it should do the carpet fibers blocking the suction of the seamer down now but thats just obvious maintenance really recommend this product it will not dissapoint
