Ortho dr said i have carpel tunnel and recommended surgery, said down time is minimal. But i can't schedule that for at least 6 months so he recommended a wrist brace while sleeping to keep it straight. He sold me one that is same brand for my left hand for $100 (insurance paid half of that). I decided i also needed one for my right hand and lucky found this one for a fraction 1/5 of the cost. I wasn't sure if i would like the strings closure, my other one had velcro but the strings closure is amazing!!! Super easy to pull and loosen, important when you have carpel tunnel in both hands. On another note, this brace does not irritate my skin, and it stays in place when i toss and turn in my sleep.

I have purchased 3 of these over the years and to this day, it is still the best brace I can find. I wear it almost daily to prevent my carple tunnel from flairing up in my right hand. It fits securely, and the ability to adjust the strap by the thumb makes all the difference for me. I cannot recommend this brade enough.

These work better than any other brand, and I have tried many. I have to sleep in these and wear them when I do certain types of work. They are comfortable but more than that they hold up and do the job by keeping my wrists straight. I replace them about every 9 months.

I had to calm some burgeoning carpal tunnel and my wife's wrist guards were too small. The doctor said I needed to get one with the metal panels inside, so I found these at the right price. I was very pleased with the comfort and fit, and was able to sleep with it on my right hand without any problems. The only downside is that it's almost too sturdy, as the metal planks and rigid fabric construction were pretty inflexible. But that's what it's supposed to do, right? A good buy, all in all.

Hi bought this because my first one got lost. I have both a right and a left brace of this version. I love it. I am a small adult and it fits the best out of any I have tried. It is comfortable and easy to use. The only issue I have with it is the cloth/thread inside does have a tendency to unfray around my hand. That part needs to be made stronger. My husband has used this brace when he needed it. He adjusted it easily to what he needed. What I really liked is when I used it again after him, it had not stretched so I was able to use it no problem. I use it to help manage pain in my right arm due to: tendonitis, arthritis (in my hands) and carpal tunnel. I use it for my left hand to help manage the pain due to arthritis and carpal tunnel. When I start hurting I put it on and most times the pain goes away, otherwise it decreases the pain enough that I don't have to take pain pills. I highly recommend it for any type of wrist pain. It keeps the wrist/arm straight but still allows you to do things.

I have wrist tendinitis now. I guess mobile phone games really are detrimental to your physical health. I bought this because some of the other reviews stated it was the same thing they received from their doctor's office. I have to say, this brace is awesome. Especially for the cost. I wear it ONLY at night. It's kind of bulky so I use something different for my daytime support. It feels like amazingly cushioned on the inside of the brace and the flexible part along the inside of the arm/wrist is super soft and comfy. I did receive the exact item as pictured, with the velcro banded closure. I think wearing this nightly has greatly improved the condition of my wrist. I rarely wake up in pain now. For a time, I was waking up with an extremely stiff and painful right hand. I think the key components are it is breathable, comfortable, supportive, and adjustable. I've been using it for about two weeks and between wearing a brace constantly (especially at night) and taking ibuprofen on particularly bad days, I've experienced major improvement in my mobility and pain.Again, I wouldn't try to wear this in my jacket or sweater, it would stretch the arm out. But at night, in my pjs, amazing.
