For a dial indicator this cheap you don't expect it to be actually accurate or even close to accurate.I wanted it basically for the mechanism to do comparative tests, so actual measurement accuracy wasn't important just consistency. When I put this on my test setup and compared the results to a very accurate old German made Kafer 0.01mm indicator, I was surprised with the results. It was hitting the mark (!)The movement is not the smoothest but It has been performing well, doing it's job and I've not had any problem.Also the description right now does say "digital" when it's clearly not a digital indicator.
