This is enormous, and while you could theoretically put a huge pot on it, only the center element will heat. It appears to be the same diameter of every other induction burner I have. Also, there are no graduated steps in the heat level; it jumps by leaps and bounds. I cannot imagine why. That makes it clumsy to use, as one problem with these burners in general is their lack of subtlety. Great for bringing things to a boil quickly, but sautéeing can be a real challenge. And there's no electrical certification on this machine, which worries me. A lot. I do love induction cooking in general. I am not bothered by the fan noise, as it's basically white noise.

I couldn’t be happier with this Professional Portable Induction Cooktop! At 1800 watts, it delivers fast, efficient heating and handles everything from delicate sauces to boiling water in minutes. The sensor touch controls are incredibly responsive, and the LCD screen makes it easy to adjust settings with precision. I especially appreciate the low noise operation,it’s so quiet, I barely notice it’s on. The built-in timer is a huge bonus for busy cooking sessions. Whether you’re using it in a commercial setting or at home, this induction burner is reliable, sleek, and easy to clean.

RV owners' holy grail! Handles 1800W without tripping my campsite breaker. Made pancakes while my coffee brewed – handles multiple appliances better than any portable cooker I've tried. The spill-proof surface wipes clean with one swipe. Pro tip: Pair with induction-ready cookware from the 'frequently bought together' section!"

Been using this cooktop for about a month and have no complaints. It's much larger and more powerful than the Duxtop one I ordered a year ago. I pretty much just use this one now as it heats up a larger area of my pan than my other one. Simple controls for wattage and timer are easy to use and it looks nice on the countertop. I've used it with various frying pans and a dutch oven with good results.

4 solid stars. I picked up this induction burner as an extra cooking surface, and overall, it’s a solid choice. At $199, it’s not exactly cheap, but it delivers on performance. It feels well-built and sturdy, the kind of appliance--hope it will last for years. It heats up quickly and cooks evenly, which was a pleasant surprise. I tested it by bringing a pot of water to a boil, and it did so impressively fast. One of the things I really appreciate is that, while the surface gets hot, it won’t actually burn your hand if you accidentally touch it. That’s a big deal, especially if you have kids around. Cleaning it is also easy. The stainless steel and glass top wipe down effortlessly, so there’s no need to scrub or worry about stains setting in.That said, there are a few drawbacks. The biggest one is that it only works with magnetic cookware. If your pots and pans are aluminum, ceramic, or glass, they simply won’t work, which could be frustrating if you don’t already own induction-compatible cookware. Another thing to keep in mind is the fan noise. The burner has two built-in cooling fans, and while they aren’t overly loud, they’re noticeable, especially if you’re used to silent cooking surfaces. The temperature control is quite good, with seven power levels ranging from 300 to 1800 watts, making it easy to adjust heat precisely. There’s also a built-in timer, which is useful for tasks like simmering or slow cooking. I also like that it comes with safety features like a child lock and overload protection, giving me extra peace of mind.Overall, this is a powerful and reliable extra burner that works well and is easy to use, as long as you have the right cookware for it. If you do, it’s a great addition to the kitchen, but if not, you’ll need to factor in the cost of new pots and pans before making the purchase.

I took away one start because the product description says "low noise." I found this item to be VERY noisy. It has a fan that runs while it's on and it's loud. I was not expecting that. I got this mainly for use at dinner parties when I need an extra burner, or several of us are trying to cook in the same corner where the stove is. One cook can plug this in on the other side of the kitchen and have room to work. But, I like the idea of an induction burner, and it worked with the cookware I had (it will NOT work with all cookware -- make sure a refrigerator magnet or something similar will stick to the bottom of your cookware, otherwise it will not work). The size of this thing is a tad bulky. I thought it would be smaller, but that's on me for not reading the product dimensions before ordering. Just not sure where I'll store it when not in use. I really really like that it stays cool and touching it won't burn your skin (my super power is always getting at least one nice burn per dinner party! The timer feature is a little weird because you MUST set a timer for it to cook. Can't just turn it on, but it's an accurate timer, so I just set it for an hour, then turn it off when it's done. It's a little difficult to get used to, but I think with practice I'll like it. I've only used it a few times. It's nothing to look at, but it's a cooktop, so it's not going to add much asthetically to your kitchen. These things are pricey, but if you're looking to add to your cooking area, or if you're in a very tight space without a cooktop, this is a nice purchase. Just make sure your cookware works or you'll be laying out even more money to be able to use this.
