Nice, well made product. Nice feel to every part, smooth indicator and threaded base parts. Easy to manipulate and adjust the position, heavy strong degree wheel, not a flimsy POS. Impressive and fun to use.I'm a retired toolmaker so I am critical with measuring quip.I've had great experiences with Proform with all my purchases. Nice to see these days when there is so much crap out there.

This kit does not include a base mount as shown on instruction sheet, image E.Kit also does not come with solid lifters (as expected)-- neither of these items are listed in the kit contents, although I expected a base to be included since I have no idea how a dial indicator can be used w/out one.It does however come with adjustment arms, which is NOT listed in the kit contents.I bought a H.F. magnetic base for $13 and it worked fine even though there numerous bad reviews stating the strength of the magnet was unacceptable. The magnet also came with an adjustment arm set which includes a "fine" adjustment knob. While the term "fine" is used loosely, the original kit arms do not have this extra adjustment. The kit is relatively inexpensive since it's incomplete- no base.Everything works and may require a bit of patience. It's a keeper for my needs.

The picture of the item shows everything lined up nicely. The reality is the foam inside the plastic case is not fitted. The degree wheel is placed on top of everything and used as a "locking mechanism" of sorts to hold everything in place. In time the rubbing of the degree wheel against the plastic case can cause the numbers to rub off. A slightly larger case and fitted foam is needed.
