I ordered 4 of these and I have had some issues.1. There were no instructions that came with these, and it took me quite some time to figure out how to open the electrical box to do the wiring. The box is unusual for any homeowners that have done some DIY installs before. Instructions would have saved me some time.2. You will need to purchase cable connectors - none are built-in, like many boxes have these days.3. The socket is connected to a wide metal piece with ridged ends, that holds itself in place by compression against the smooth metal surface on the interior of the housing. There appears to be no way to lock it in place. I'm not even sure how to connect it to the cone-shaped piece that you buy separately. Maybe there are pieces missing because there are metal flaps on the side of the housing that perhaps are needed to hold things in place? Without instructions, there's no way to tell what purpose these serve.4. I had to modify the length of the arms with some tin snips and pull out the metal pieces that slide between them, because my joists are 1" closer together than the length of the arms.I'm hoping that these will eventually work, but right now, I'm a bit worried that the lights are going to occasionally fall out and hang by their wires.
