How to replace the lamp:

  • Turn on the projector and unplug the power cord.
  • Wait one hour to allow it to cool thoroughly.(Caution: Do not remove the lamp unit from the projector right after use. The lamp will be hot and may cause burn injury.
  • Turn the projector over. Open the lamp unit cover by loosening the screws with screwdriver.
  • Loosen the securing screws on the lamp with screwdriver. Hold the lamp unit well and put it out from the direction of the arrow.
  • Insert the new lamp until it’s securely in place. Tighten the screws. Fold the handle.
  • Connect the lamp connector and tighten the screws.
  • Close the lamp cover and tighten the screws.
  • Reset the Projector by following the Projector Operating Manual.

Initial Quality of the light output was good, as it should be. I usually use our projector "almost" daily, perhaps 2-3 hours for a movie. The 1st replacement bulb we purchased went out just days before the 180 day warranty. I contacted the seller and they did say, "no problem, just cut the wire inside the bulb (see picture) and send us a picture verifying the cut and we'll send out a new one right away" and they did send it right away. Now less than 4 months into the replacement bulb, it's also went out. "Approximately" 21 hours a week, 4 weeks a month = 84 hours a month, correct? Nothing near 2500-3000 hours claimed. We'll see if it's covered this second time, but not impressed with the length of life these bulbs seem to have. Doubtful if I'll purchase this brand again. Not difficult to replace and cheaper than most of the others, but our original bulb lasted 5 years and only started to dim after about 4 1/2 years and lasted another 6 months after that. After this one dimmed, it then only lasted about another 2 weeks... All this in the economy mode. Check ratings and reviews on other bulbs before you purchase this one, but if you do, purchase the protection plan as well..

the first bulb we ordered failed within 1 week, the second bulb we ordered with the housing, now 8 months later and only with 500 hours on the bulb it's light output is dropped to less than half of normal, try a different brand this one is no where good as a new one.

Great replacement bulb for a Epson PowerLite Presenter. Easy to install. The bulb is a great buy, we got a second one as a replacement, for the other Presenter when needed.
