Much harder than the original rubber bits it replaced but will probably last twice as long. Comes with no instructions. Some people claim it makes the ride a bit harsher but how could you tell with front/back leaf suspension?

First, note that the pics on Amazon don't match the color. I ordered the red since it was cheaper for some reason.I think all these bushing kits are basically the same, but I was frustrated to see that Prothane includes absolutely no application specific instructions to help you figure out which bushing goes where and what the washers are for. It's not really obvious, especially since the factory rear mounts are rectangular and all of these are round. Here are some tips: The mounts come in pairs that fit into each other. The protruding part that fits into the other is always on top. The three forward most mounts are all the same, these are the big ones. The rear two sets use all the washers and supplied sleeves on top and bottom. The bigger of the two go to furthest back position near the rear bumper.Including no instructions is really bad in my opinion. Energy Suspension includes (meager but better than nothing) instructions, but they seem to go out of their way to make it hard to find the right kit for your application. The part number for 80's K5's is Energy Suspension 3.4118.The other option I would have done in hindsight is to order from Offroad Design. It's a little more but I understand more complete instructions are included. Even if the instructions from them were bad you could get them on the phone.

Ordered these for a current project and liked the price for an off named product. Packaging was good and the product inside was top notch, possibly even better than some of the high cost name brands out on the market.
