This was not as heavy as I thought it would be and I was concerned about how it would hold up. However, it had done well with my limited use. It does not hold a ton of butane but enough for little projects or firing up the grill. Have not burnt myself so far with it so that is a win!

This has been a great torch so far. Needed to solder some copper, worked great on a low flame.Perfect for starting the fireplace and my pellet oven too.It's on the large side so you won't be fitting it in a pocket but for the heat output I'm not complaining.The adjuster knob on the back stays in place when you dial it in, and makes pretty fine adjustments rather than being all over the place.It can also be locked to hold a flame though I'd prefer to just press the ignitor down

This is my first torch so my experience level is limited. First impression is that it's built solidly. I was surprised by how much bigger this was than I had envisioned. I don't feel that is a bad thing but something to be aware of if you are ordering it to fit into a kit or storage compartment.Really easy to load with gas. I watched a video first and then loaded mine. Once it started spitting back, I stopped. Starting it is as easy as clicking the trigger. Started right up but I did have a hard time seeing the flame outdoors. Indoors, I was able to see it. So just a safety note here...be careful once you start it!There is a lock mechanism to keep it lit and running allowing you to set it down and work with both hands. I feel this is one area the device could be improved as this lock, while it works, seems a little clunky. There's a knob on the back that you can twist to change the flame intensity as well. Finally, there is another adjustment knob on the tip that changes the flame from a direct focused flame to a wider one.This will be a useful tool for my arsenal and I'll get a lot of use out of it from heating stuck parts to melting shrink tube. My suggestion is to catch a big discount code on this one and you'll be happy with your purchase.

This is a handy little torch which can be used for a multitude of purposes. For myself, I'll primarily be using it to light my beekeeping smoker. The torch was easy to fill. There are adjustments for the type of the flame: either a softer, less hot flame, or a finer, hotter flame. There is also an adjustment for the intensity of the flame. The intensity adjustment is the same button which is used to ignite the torch. The type of flame (soft or pinpoint) is adjusted by a collar on the barrel of the torch. This adjustment, which appears to control the fuel air mixture, was a little stiff and hard to move but maybe will loosen up a bit with use??The torch itself lighted first 'click' every time I used it. I did find it 'interesting' that while there was a 'lock' lever to lock it on while using it, there was no lock to keep the button from being depressed and accidentally being turned on. Personally, I'd be a bit leery of locking it in the on position and accidentally dropping it with the flame still running.That aside, the tool seems solid enough and should hold up well for it's intended use. The price, to me, seems to be a bit on the higher side for like tools.

I ordered this torch primarily to get my smoker started and with first use, I am very satisfied with how it works.Filling up with butane was very easy. I just bought a container of butane at the local Ace store. Lighting was easy as well. The flame strength can be set managed with no problem and it starts with one click. Really helped me with getting the smoker started. I imagine there are a ton of other applications for this device, but I am quite happy with what it will do for me.

the product itself feels sturdy, professionally made and like something we would buy again, but we just cant get it to work. We followed the instructions step by step but it wont refill with butane and will not light. disappointed but we feel like its user error. will update soon if anything changes.

I love this little torch because it's small enough to be easily held and maneuvered, but has the flame and temperature of a larger more unwieldy propane cylinder. For small jobs, this is so much easier to handle and maneuver. If you want to use this to take old paint off of your 10 X 20 ft front porch, you will be frustrated pretty quickly because it doesn't hold enough fuel for that. It wasn't designed or intended to replace a big hand held propane cylinder. However, for small quick jobs, this one shines. Turn the knob fully clockwise and push the piezoelectric starter and you're in business. Once you see blue flame you move a lever on the top to the left while still holding that button to "lock" it and keep it going. To turn it off, just click that lever to the right and it instantly stops. The cool thing is that it is designed so that as soon as you click that lever to the right and turn it off, the fuel stops flowing. Unlike some propane torches, where if the flame goes out, you can still hear that "hiss" of escaping propane. Not with this one. HOWEVER, I found that even though I don't hear any escaping butane, if I didn't turn the flame intensity knob fully counter-clockwise, by the next morning it will have slowly drained all your butane. Of course that's no different than a larger propane cylinder. Point being even after you turn it off and don't hear any gas escaping, you still need to crank that knob clockwise to stop any residual flow.

Thing's pretty beefy. Compared to a Milwaukee M12 impact in attatched picture. Seems well built. Holds a lot of juice. Good flame and temperature control. Starts first click every time, though any new torch should.Only thing I noticed that is a minor inconvenience, you have to really make sure you turned the gas ALL the way off.
