It’s not quite as thick as the genuine part and it’s not a 1:1 match in shape either but it did plug in and seems to be working fine. Im worried it might not last as long as a genuine part but sometimes in our modern world the generic runs better. Only time will tell. Will edit review if anything changes. In so far it’s doing well.

Element in 26 year old GE stove died New Year’s Eve. I like electric coil stoves. Was totally turned off by descriptions of safety elements to prevent overheating (prevented cooking, many said) in new coil stoves. So, with fear & trepidation, ordered this. Hardest part was getting old element out, but only because none of the many videos I watched said to use 1/4” socket bit thingy on my electric drill. All the videos showed Phillips screws, which I didn’t have. I even pulled the oven out, revealing totally gross floor underneath, but, after taking parts of back off, realized had to be done from front. But I did clean floor and sides of oven, so not all bad! Once I got everything straight, the process was easy and worked like a charm. Turn off the breaker, watch a video and have at it! Works like a charm. And I’m a 72 year old woman!

Exact replacement that works well. When my other burnt up I was like no am I going to have to spend thousands on my kitchen as the oven is very old. But nope. This replacement was an exact fit and worked perfectly. Guess ovens have really not changed much in 30+ years.

There are 2 types of elements that work with GE ovens - One connector is a curved clip type #WB44K10005 and other is a straight screw type #WB44X5082. They also mount into the oven differently. Make sure to review the connector prongs first with your existing before purchasing. AND shutoff your breaker before installing, as the element is still live, even when off.The element worked great when installed and fit as intended. Nearly matched my OEM. Would buy again from PRYSM.

Ordered this burner to replace one in a built-in oven. Two screws out to get at the electrical connections, two screws to connect the new burner, two screws back in to mount it in the oven. Easy, and only took about 15 minutes. I had to adjust the dial a bit as the new burner didn't quite bring the oven up to temperature (about 10-15 degrees lower). All's working well now and the wife is happy her baked goods are coming out great again.Tip for those it might apply to: the wires connecting the burner were short and were at risk of falling back into the hole at the back of the oven, which might have meant pulling the whole oven out to get at them. Tying the wires off with a string kept that from happening and turning a 15 minute job into an hour job.

If you ever experience a problem in your electric oven, particularly if you can’t get it up to temperature, a replacement element like this is the easy fix. To tell if you need one, set your temp knob to the highest non-broil setting and wait for a minute or so. The bake element (on the bottom) should be glowing red. If it’s not, carefully put your hand about 6 inches away from it to see if you feel any heat at all. If not, your element is bad.Find the appropriate replacement using your oven model number and search for ‘bake element’. (The ‘broil element’ is on top, and sometimes needs replacing, too). Typically, the element mounts to the oven frame using sheet metal screws that usually require a hex head socket or nut driver to remove. Make sure the oven is unplugged from the wall, or turn off the circuit breaker. Once the element is free, pull it out carefully because usually there are heat-insulated wires solidly connected with screws. Remove these screws, attach the wires to the same terminals on the replacement element, mount the element back to the frame, plug the oven back in, and try the highest bake setting again. If the element glows red, you’ve probably solved the issue. If it doesn’t, the problem is probably in the oven controls which is a more involved fix.Try it before scrapping your oven when it doesn’t heat any more - it can be a cheap, easy fix.

Fit perfectly for a 1982 GE double oven self cleaning Oven! The oven is so old that it still has the rotary clock. They don’t make appliances like they used to so when this element burnt out my wife was jumping up and down for joy when she thought we were going to get a new oven. To be honest I never wanted to replace this double oven as it’s so accurate with cooking temperatures. I was upset when the element went and thought surely they did not have a replacement for an oven so old and I would have to purchase new one. I stood corrected when I located on Amazon. Replacement was a breeze and took five minutes. You can imagine the surprise when I found this element online, ordered, then replaced, wife was not happy. This oven cooks precisely and temperatures are accurate and even though it looks like something out of the early 80’s the wife will have to live with oven a little longer or a lot longer?
