Using an OSSC, could not get a signal at all from the playstation 1, and the playstation 2 was fairly distorted and maintained a buzzing sound the entire time. I recommend avoiding.

The cable works somewhat strangely, one of the two audio cables is not working, when in progressive scan mode, there’s like a grid pattern half visible on the whole screen and it makes the default mode look better. It’s nothing like the original PS3 Component cables, and also my PS1 doesn’t seem to detect the cable, beware the cable has a deathgrip when you connect it to the console, making it hard to pull out and insert without force. I’m kinda disappointed by this cable

Good cable. Better than the original, in fact. Cheaper, too.

My original cables to my UE Triple-Fi's cracked near the area where the wire wrapped around the ear, not the connection. Tried hard to repair it, but could not. I tried a cable replacement from Fiio (RC-UE2), but returned them due to the micro phonics problems...the slightest movement would transmit irritating sounds thru the cable to the earphones. This was totally distracting. As a last resort, I ordered these replacements. I waited 3 weeks for them to be delivered, which prompted the loss of one star. The cable is the same length as the original. They do not have the wire that lets you shape the cable to your ear. I'm not sure this is a negative for me, since they drape nicely over the ear. They are the same thickness and have the same sliding 'snugger' adjuster. Here are a few positives for this cable: first, it is rubbery and flexible. The original had a vinyl feel to it and was stiff. This one has a nice, soft feel to it. It is the same thickness as the original. Second, I experience little or no micro phonics with this cable. I can easily move around and don't get the distracting sounds that I did with the Fiio.As the other reviewer mentioned, the plug is straight, and takes up less space than the original. I like this design. Here's a tip, however. You just can't plug these cables (or ANY cables) into your earphones and expect the sound to be correctly phased. There are fine protrusions on each cable connector, and you must make sure these have the correct alignment on your earphones. If you don't do this, your music will be out of phase and you'll lose the imaging. Also, you need to make sure that the left cable is picking up the left signal and vice versa. I couldn't find any directions in the package, so you're on your own with these. These cables may impact the sound. I've done some comparisons with the original cable, and I can say that some of the treble stridency has been smoothed. I also notice a more solid bass, that has a bit more 'warmth' to it. Will you experience the same? Hard to tell. It depends on the kind of music you listen to. All I can say is that the cables don't seem to introduce any negative coloration to the sound. I must say that I am happy with this purchase and I'll keep my fingers crossed that they will last me at least as long as the originals.

Anyone who uses UE buds daily for long enough will learn that the cable tends to fail near the jacks (either at the plug or at one or both of the ears). It's obnoxious that the replacement cables cost so much, but this one at least is a few bucks less. I prefer the straight stereo jack to the 90 degree version, which I've had fail more quickly than the straight jack. The cheaper version available here doesn't have the wire reinforcement to loop around the ears, it's just bare, soft cable, which means the buds can fall out of the ears a little more easily. Having had the wire-reinforced section of the official wire fail several times over the years, I'm not sure if this is a positive development or not, but at least this version costs less.
