First time I tried to use the step, the step snapped off. Luckily I had one foot one the ground I didn't get hurt falling. Supposed to be rated at 300 lbs, but don't trust it. I'm no where near 300 and didn't even have all my weight on it. Find a better brand to buy and save yourself a hassle.

Very helpful. I’m not as young as I use to be. Make it so much easier to get into the bed of my truck.

Bought this for my 2016 Tundra Crewmax & so far it works great. Tossed the directions & saw a you tube Installation video that explained everything step by step. I didnt use the bracket that was included, i used a sawzall to make a couple of cuts on the existing bracket and it probably shaved off an hour from my install time.

It is solid, flexes a little bit, but I'm about 220lbs. It bolted right to the frame on my 2011 Tundra Crewmax without any modifications.

The instructions call for removal of the license plate light, trailer plug and then the plastic bumper cover to remove and replace the bumper support bracket. (That square bracket in the picture) There's a catch "22"situation here. The cover needs to come off in order to remove bolts holding the support bracket. But you can't get to some of the plastic tabs holding the bumper cover on because they are behind the bracket! I decided to not remove the bracket and just cut away the part that would interfere with the step. The factory bracket is much stronger than the one they supply anyway. So I traced the outline of the bottom of the new bracket onto some cardboard and transfered that to the existing bracket, then I used an angle grinder with a cut-off wheel to trim the bracket. This was much faster than removing the bumper cover. I don't think you can remove it without damaging the retaining tabs on the plastic bumper cover. I believe you could use a jigsaw with metal cutting blades to do this if you don't have an angle grinder or die grinder with cut-off wheels.

It was a lot of dishes assembly of my existing truck, bumper and brackets to be able to install this one. That said these things are awesome. This is the second one I’ve had on two different trucks so they are worth the effort.

The step makes getting into the truck much easier. Very easy to install if you don't follow the directions. When you get the step take a look at the bracket, they send you then take a look at the bracket they want you to remove. It's much easier and quicker to simply cut out the cross member with a sawsall or grinder than it is to deal with removing all the pieces of the bumper. I traced the bottom of the new bracket onto a piece of cardboard then used that as a template.
