Very pretty and nicely made. However, when I opened the plastic wrap bag there was a terrible chemical smell. I actually set this in a room by itself for a few days to let it air out. I was afraid it would be damaged if I set it outside. After that, everything seemed to be fine.

This item arrived to me just as it is in the photos, however, it stinks really bad. I ordered the product in both black and brown. They both have terrible odor!!

Was so excited to use these covers. However had to return even the replacement back because of a strong chemical smell. Whatever coating is used for the covers is overpowering and does not go away even after being out of the package for days.

Nice book cover, Works well. The covers are reasonably heavy/stiff with a bit of suppleness. They are overly wide for the page size, which is good if you want to use page pockets you can find elsewhere on Amazon. My only complaint is they are a bit too shiny.
